How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Stream of Thought UB Delver may want to give it a go. Martyr's Soul White Weenie decks could use this I suppose. Goblin War Party Gobbos always want more gobbos or it works like an anthem.

Yeah, you can't look at these for Modern. They are draft and Pauper. But compare them to the first handful of commons spoiled for a regular set and it sure looks like the power level of this set is going to be WAY above average, because these cards are not Modern playable, but they are WAY better than average

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
With cycling clearly being themed in the set, I wonder if the Onslaught cycling lands (e.g. Lonely Sandbar), or Ash Barrens will be printed into Modern?

It’s a set for magic players in general
This first bunch of cards is clearly for the draft and pauper players
And these are much more powerful compared to other standard legal sets
The only one that might have a shot for modern is lava dart for burn decks

It is quite strong, particularly considering that it is a COMMON.
Also, the wall of swords variant is sweet. A Wall of Swords with a built in Animate Wall is nothing to scoff at.
Love the new changelings so far, and Martyr's Soul is crazy strong for its rarity.
