Jace + Ugin..... wowzas I wonder what kind of price tag they want for that. Also, I know they can't just jam value all day but really on the Sarkan? Could we get a midly playable walker instead???
Wizards said that it will be on sale for $249.99, available starting May 1 at 3pm EST. Same price as the others, way better value than Allegiance.
Will they be available in Asia? In Japan, to be specific. I NEED this!
That misleading title, though. I thought WotC had brought back the actual Masterpiece series. Instead it's just the stupid Mythic Edition again. Womp womp.
So we have all card images for all planeswalkers in WAR, right? Set cards, Planeswalker Deck cards, Mythic Edition cards, BAB promo, and... that's it, right?
I don't think I've missed anything, but let me know if I have. I just don't think we've gotten cards for two of the mysterious planeswalker arts used in the poster from a while back (Liliana and Karn). Were there any others? do we think this could mean more unique promos coming?

I had the same problem, almost went nuts and then noticed the next posts saying it was 250 bucks so yep, mythic edition it is, no masterpieces :/
Thing is, 250 for the Jace and Ugin alone is solid. Throw in the rest of the 8 and then 24 packs of WAR on top of it, and those are 12,000 $250 lottery tickets that are all winners

To be fair, these *are* Masterpieces as categorized by Wizards. They even say "Masterpiece" on the bottom of the cards.
On a long term-note, I wonder if they will do more Masterpieces like this. I vastly prefer this distribution method of getting these kinds of cards. It just so happens that they started this with planeswalkers due to the story arc of planeswalkers. If they do this again with another set (maybe every set if they only give us 8 promo cards) it can be anything with any frame treatment.
Garruk!
Wait a minute, is this what Rosewater meant when he said they had a plan for Garruk?
I hope not.
He needs a little more love in the story department instead of killing planeswalkers who bother him and getting his corruption halted semi-offscreen.
I would have liked Sorin over Sarkhan. Nahiri and Sorin were made for each other.
Garruk makes as much sense as Elspeth did in the previous mythic edition. A little weird for Ravnica, but that’s what they decided to do and it’s consistent.

Does anyone know if this will be available in Europe?
Cool, definitely the best Mythic Edition so far! Many sought-after cards and they've significantly improved the art quality since RNA. Only Sarkhan Unbroken is kinda ugly, and moustache Tezzeret looks almost funny.
I would not be surprised to see one of those arts used in a future Liliana Spellbook.
EDIT: eh, scratch that. They would probably use the original Liliana Vess art and that one would not fit well in a regular card.
Also that it seems they been opting for the first time you seen the planeswalker which for Jace's is Jace Beleren and Gideon's is Gideon Jura. Even though they could have easily handwaved it with Jace for example and put Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
I'm going to try and buy one. I can't see any problems with them shipping to Europe.
I think the biggest problem will actually be getting through the checkout before they are all sold out.

And it's super weird that's the case. WotC already had a line called "Masterpiece" and, from what I remember, they said it was on hiatus and not shelved entirely. Does that mean WotC considers the Mythic Edition to be a continuation of the Masterpiece series, and as such the old way is never coming back? Because that would be deeply disappointing. The Mythic Edition is hot garbage in my opinion, and honestly I'm surprised people buy it.

I do like the Ugin's Fate promo version art still more than this Ugin art. Fate Promo > Ineffable > This > normal. A lot of the arts are pretty good, and the quality planeswalkers for this will make it be sought after.

Is it really? I could be super far off here, but you sound bitter.
How on earth can a jace, and ugin for market value be hot garbage. Especially since you get 6 other walkers who retail at roughly another 100 usd and 24 sealed packs to draft or open.

Enlighten me mr/mrs sour grapes
That the mythic editions cater to scalpers and whales. Guilds of Ravnica was regarded as a travesty due to low product count and also no international shipping. Ravnica Allegation had international shipping and more supply, but they could only get through 50% of their product, also that the only method to obtain the box at the time was either from their specialty store or from channel fireball at a grand prix.
That instead of actually having the mythic you could obtain from a normal pack have this new borderless look, its got to be tied to being part of a mythic edition or as a sealed box topper.
This may not sound familiar to you, but mythic rares themselves rose a similar stink in their introduction in Alara.
I'm not personally bitter/sourgrapes about this myself, but I personally wouldn't turn a blind eye whats going on.

Hot Garbage? Alt-art full-frame foil Jace TMS +Ugin + other 4 played pw + other 2 pw + 24 last-set boosters is Garbage? I don't think so, honestly.
Almost all of these are absolutely freaking gorgeous. The Tezzeret bothers me though, because he typically has a much more ethnic look and here he's depicted as Jeffery Dean Morgan. It's still a fantastic piece, but that's not Tezz.
$250 is steep, but most of these will probably climb in value over time and it's not like you don't get your money's worth of value out of the gate. I'll have to give serious thought to trying to pick one up.

Yep, two more to go. Probably Karn Liberated and Liliana of the Veil.
