Search your library and/or graveyard for a creature card with converted mana cost X or less and put it onto the battlefield. If you search your library this way, shuffle it. If X is 10 or more, creatures you control get +X/+X and gain haste until end of turn. Some spells sing a quiet time. Others roar.

....I'll have a couple for EDH fun times, X 10 it and tutor olde Craterhoof and your tokens get his boost and another +10 to boot.
Might as well get craterhoof and god-eternal rhonas. +10/+10, +x/+x = equal to # of creatures, and then double the power of everything? On top of that everything gets haste, trample and vigilance. With just 3 1/1 creatures on the board when cast you're looking at 3x 32/32s and 2 40/40s.
I hate to be *that* guy but I think I would still run Tooth and Nail over this.
I don't think I will. For the entwine cost this new spell will get you 2 creatures from GY or library of 7 or less CMC. Granted, you lose the ability to play creatures already in your hand but you gain a lot of flexibility by being able to pay 5 and get 2 utility creatures as well.
I can back all my peeps grabbing infecting colossi, but I'm down for a little e-witness action. If I'm reading it right, X=3 can pull an e-witness out of the library and a man 'o war out of the graveyard? Just the beginning of the value train.

Now, you CAN use this to fetch E-wit, which you then in turn use its trigger to bring this back to your hand to cast again and get that Man-O-War. But if you've got this and ten mana there's better things to do than Man-O-War.
That‘s how I understand it as well, otherwise the ‚and/or‘ clause would be irrelevant.
To me, it seems like you can get either one single creature out of your library or your yard or both, but never two out of the yard or out of your library

Or just grab Avenger of Zendikar?
That doesn't do what you think it does.
Avenger's plants happen as a trigger off him entering the battlefield.
That trigger won't even be put on the stack until Finale has finished resolving.
Ergo they won't get the big P/T boost nor the haste.
Also the trample is replaced by haste, so not exactly the hoof. Works very well with Avenger though.
