This comes after the Finale of Eternity, which shows Lili in direct opposition to Bolas. That means that the Raven Man now has the Veil and the Dreadhorde, wonder what he's after...
Lili appears to have three story beats: working for Bolas commanding the Dreadhorde, turning the Dreadhorde against Bolas (as seen in the set trailer if you haven't watched it), and her directly attacking bolas in the new finale card. I suspect this is actually depicting the second, the moment in the trailer where she takes control.

Could be. I based the timing of events on the timing of spoilers.

Speaking of depicting: The illustrationis literally a frame from the trailer or vice versa a storyboard image the trailer is based on, isn't it? A fairly prominent one, too.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

I'm sure glad these planeswalkers who made wrong decisions for their entire life could simply change their mind at the absolute last second and stop the evil mastermind who made the right decisions for his entire plan. Thank God that family was standing under that rock that fell so Liliana could see how bad she was.

Um, you know she was working for Bolas against her will, right? Liliana is one of the good guys, albeit a self-centred and power hungry one. Bolas has control of the pacts she made with the four demons to keep her youth and grant her power, and she was working for him because if he wanted he could snuff her out (in theory) by cancelling the deals. The family who got killed in the trailer looked like her and her brother when they were younger and made her decide that living wasn't worth the damage she was causing.
So it's not that a bad character suddenly changed her mind, it's more she finally decided something was more important than living.
Now, if Tezzeret suddenly turns hero on us, then you can complain.

No, no she is not one of the good guys. A good guy does not have a zombie horde ravage a major city, killing thousands, and force a hero to release a demon or see her compatriots be devoured alive by zombies. A hero does not traffic with demons. Lily is primarily motivated by her fear of dying and her own freedom. She does not care about you, she does not care about what is right. She cares about herself first and foremost. All that happened was that she realized she'd rather die free than live as a slave. But she is not good by any stretch of the imagination.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).

She turned Garruk into a cursed monstrosity and killed a lot og innocent people and angels to get to Griselbrand. She wove a spell upon the Helvault and gave the choice to the cathar Thalia. The spell would either destroy the vault, or kill the soldiers under her command.
Besides being exremely stupid and short-sighted, how is she a hero?

She's a member of the gatewatch. You can't really pin garruk entirely on her, he's the one that came after her first and she was still rather under demonic influence at the time, as well as the chain veil.

To be fair, she is in the gatewatch mostly because they are better minions than zombies.

Indeed, it doesn't even matter. She had to fall to lose it all.
No, she forcely become one of the "good guys", because again, of bad writing. She didn't start as a good guy at all.
She joined the gatewatch exclusively because it was convenient for her personal agenda of getting rid of the demons, she never gave a ***** about the multiverse fate at all. (You can see in her Oath of Liliana card how much she cares about that)
She never been inherently evil, but she absolutely was the quintessence of selfishness incarnate. She wouldn't give a **** of everything and anything after becoming a Planeswalker (which was having the power and immortality of an oldwalker at that time)
The family who got killed in the trailer looked like her and her brother when they were younger and made her decide that living wasn't worth the damage she was causing.
I will never believe that a woman that literally made a deal with the Devil (Bolas and 4 demons exactly) to be immortal, because has a freaking terror and complex of death, would just throw away what she fought for her entire life...which is, exactly her life in this case.
The real Liliana I always knew would had wait to find a way to escape without exposing herself this way.
She acted based on emotional and morale impulse sacrifing herself like any random monowhite character
Maybe the only one person she really cared in the whole life except herself is her brother, true. I could see Liliana risking or even sacrificing her life for him, if that could reverse tha spell that corrupted him.
But Liliana completely losing her marbles just because of a random family that bites it because is in the middle of the casualty of a war? Are we really talking of the same Liliana that saw thousands of death and never gave a ***** of anybody? No, dude, this is all bull-***** to me.
