I guess something on Ravnica had to respond to all these Planeswalker sparks and powers being chucked everywhere. Betcha Bolas didn't expect anyone else to be interested in harvesting sparks.
As long as you have a couple PWs out, this outgrow most burn spells in standard.
People have to remember that when a PW ETBs for you, you get the PW's starting loyalty in +1/+1 counters for the Hydra. That's kinda stupid with some of the high loyalty uncommon PWs.
Is that defo correct? I know the rules say the walker enters with it's X loyalty counters (x being its starting loyalty), does that mean the hydra sees the counters get put on, or are they..already on and so no trigger when it ETB's, if that makes sense?
An object entering the battlefield with counters on it counts as something having counters "put" on it, so Bioessence Hydra will see, say, a Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner entering the battlefield and having seven loyalty counters put on it, so it will get seven +1/+1 counters.

It’s why doubling season works. Now I don’t like that rule and wouldn’t mind its changing, but as it’s worded now, I do believe it works that way.
So the second ability triggers whenever loyalty counters are placed on PlaneswalkerS you control. If I were to, say, Proliferate, adding a single counter to five Planeswalkers, would this get 5 more counters, or just one, as one counter was added to five Planeswalkers? I'm pretty sure it's 5, but want to be sure.
Bioessence Hydra: Omigawsh I just, like, totally LOVE planeswalkers!!!! lol Jace: Pssst! Hey Kiora, why's the Hydra talking like some kind of valley girl? Kiora: Hey, you don't see her questioning your life choices.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
t1: Stomping Ground, Llanowar Elves
t2: Hinterland Harbor/Breeding Pool, Domri, Anarch of Bolas, uptick Domri (4 loyalty)
t3: Forest, Domri, Chaos Bringer, uptick Domri, AoB (5 loyalty), uptick Domri, CB (6 loyalty)
t4: Forest, Bioessence Hydra, cast with Domri, CB (7 loyalty) giving it haste, it enters as a 16/16 Trample, Haste, use Domri, AoB downtick to have it fight a blocker, swing in 17 (Domri, AoB's +1/+0) + Llanowar Elves (2/1 <= Domri, AoB's +1/+0). 19 damage. If you attacked with Llanowar turn 3, using Domri, AoB's mana to cast Domri, CB, it's 20 damage total.
Mark my words, I will do this on MtGA.
Which Domri are you keeping on T3?
The uniqueness planeswalker rule was removed, u can have diferent cards of the same walker at the same time. (ye, lame most of the times, neat with some walkers)

Both? What are you talking about? Planeswalkers are just like legendary creatures, now. I can have 3 Jace planeswalkers on the battlefield as long as they aren't the same card.
Taken from MTGWiki:
Planeswalker cards used to have a similar rule to the "legend rule": If a player controls two or more planeswalkers that share a planeswalker type, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners’ graveyards. This was called the "planeswalker uniqueness rule".
Starting with Ixalan, this rule was abandoned.[29] All planeswalkers past, present, and future gained the supertype legendary and became subject to the "legend rule". Thus, if a player controls more than one legendary planeswalker with the same name, that player chooses one and puts the other into their owner's graveyard. This means, for example, that if you control Jace, Unraveler of Secrets and cast Jace, Cunning Castaway, both Jaces can now simultaneously exist under your control. This has also enabled planeswalkers without types to be printed, such as The Wanderer.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Yup. Makes a resolved Bioessence Hydra dangerous as hell. I honestly think I'd prefer my Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner to already be on the battlefield though.
turn 1: Llanowar Elves
turn 2: Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner
turn 3: Bioessence Hydra- Get a 10/10 trampler and draw a card.
Both. The old planeswalker rule is gone. They follow the legend rule now and since the two Domris(sp?) have different names, they can coexist.
