"Domri realized what kind of master he had rushed to serve."
This is the one guy that has the word "Anarch" in one of his card's titles.
This guy is a insult to true anarchists and I'm just glad he bited.
Brainless idiot. You had the fate you deserve.
You say that like all anarchists aren’t inherently stupid.
Domri deserved it. He's an alleged anarchist that served the largest force in power. Enjoy death, ideals traitor.
(P.S. Devs, make the next Gruul planeswalker a big-smashy one that actually does want to destroy everything in its wake.)
As for the card, another combo with Dark Depths and so on, and plays well with the new Ratchet Bomb land.

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
Welp. I was expecting all these new young walkers (and specifically Domri, who we met as a child) to be the focus of the story after this all settled out. That's apparently a big nope.
On the other hand, maybe this is a way to clean up the saturation of planeswalkers in RG.

They should quit flooding the colour pair then, stop feeding us creatures based designs that are insanely dull...
First killing Bontu for betraying the other gods, now Domri for betraying the rest of Ravnica to Bolas. You'd almost think that Bolas treats traitors like the Mongols did.... You were willing to betray your own kind and have outlived your usefulness? You're dead before you betray me. Good riddance.

MTG Junky... First packs being a starter of each 4th Edition and Ice Age. Good Grief, I've been playing since 1995? Where does the time go!

this is mtgs, where occam's razor is so blunt it can't cut jello any more.
"Let's follow the big dragon who wants to enslave everyone under an iron fist and harvest all planeswalkers' sparks in the multiverse, what could go wrong?"

Just imagine if this was an actual line in the novel

Bolas is smart. In his shoes I'd do the same.
"You've shown a willingness to betray your masters, as such I will get rid of you before you have a chance to betray me."
Honestly Domri looks like an incompetent idiot. How did he become Gruul leader again?
By summoning a boatload of boars to overwhelm Borborgymos. Unsurprisingly, most Gruul refuse to acknowledge him as their leader because they feel he cheated. He did not become leader by his own strength after all.

Too bad! Have Hallar instead.
Yeah, except Hallar is actually good. Not as the main focus of a deck good or competitive good, but build a commander deck around them and they can be very fun. And each time kicker returns they get better.

It's about time for the reserved list to die, for the sake of Vintage and Legacy (And Commander).
Well, glad his death got so many cards.
Sad thing is that dack is dead and didn’t even got a card(hope wotc does some shenanigans to revive dack)(he deserves better) (instead of killing Jace, Chandra , liliana, Nissa... they go and kill dack and Gideon that imo are better characters to drive stories(outside of alread opened plots)(that Gideon had))
are we sure dack is dead ? do u just go by the trailer or is this confirmed somewhere ?
cause that would really make me wonder, why not give a planeswalker a last card if he is a casuality to the war

He is one of the 3 deaths also one of the protagonists of the novel aparently.
Why no card for hin (maybe) I would guess someone in R&D and the story line department don’t like hin or there was some shenanigans later, or they don’t give a crap (I could see the last being truth)
I suppose there is some room left for a secret card :/

The writer of the novel added him last minute, way after anyone at Wizards could add an actual Dack card.

just 3 planeswalker die in this war ? (or is it just known planeswalkers?)
cause we see all the sparks flying around.
and who are those 3 ?
is the novel for war of the spark out already ?
There are a lot of unnamed planeswalker dieing on and off screen. But from the named ones apparently only 3 die according to some leaks.
Domri, Dack Fayden and Gideon
So, one main character, one minor character people barely care about and one character who never even apperaed in main storyline and Standard play and doesn't even have its card in the set? *Sigh*
Yeah I also would have thought the death count would be higher given that this is a WAR!
Ajani, Jaya, Dovin, Ral Zarek and Sarkhan were all be people who could have died and would have had a good run and decent story arcs. And would have given more oompf to the story. Gideon feels a bit like Elspeth 2.0 so I am actually a bit disappointed with that.

Ye, this story looks like in the same level of Test of Metal, Scourge and The Quest for Karn in terms of bad taste in our sould

Wait, I thought the Test of Metal was awesome. The real bad thing it was retconned and Kaladesh Tezzeret looks like a freaking parody on his old self.

nissa, sorin, nahiri, ashiok, huatli, saheeli, teferi, chandra, tezzeret, vivien,. those are characters with boring stories or stories that could end here to make room for new planeswalkers (teyo, wanderer and so on)
At this point? I'm willing to give it a shot.

its also kind of a flavorfail for this card, if they r supposed to harvest sparks and comes only at the cost of 3 casualities
