Hmm that Gideon might be fun with Edgar Markhov. Gideon's Company could be fun too.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
Plot twist: Gideon ults and has 1 loyalty left. Jace cracks Emergence Zone. Rescuer Sphinx dives in and saves Gideon from an untimely exiling. Go Gatewatch.
I don’t think PW decks are cannon. The one from Ixalan had Jace fighting with Merfolk and Vraska fighting with vampires.
That was back in Ixalan block. And if I recall correctly, a feature ONLY of that block. At any rate, none of the Planeswalker deck cards in the Ravnica set's far have seemed to defy the Canon.
War of the Spark is a special story-intensive set anyway, the Big Finale. The Planeswalker decks will probably also tell peices of the canon story.
Am I the only one a bit disappointed that in a planeswalker-heavy set, Gideon gets two cards? Couldn't the planeswalker decks have included 2 different planeswalkers from the main set like Tezzeret as the buy-a-box promo? Tezzeret didn't have a stained-glass art and he has a card in Ravnica. The same could've been done and have 39 different planeswalkers in the set.

Picture this: You're a new player being told by WotC's marketing that this set is the climactic moment for the current story arc and one of the biggest sets for Magic's story ever. You go to your LGS to get one of the pw decks, only to find out they are for Sir and Dame Not Appearing in This Story Arc.
That Gideon may actually be playable in Constructed, ironically in a control deck since that one-sided exile all effect is really strong.
Gideon’s Company is an auto-include in Soul Sisters and other lifegain decks and it might be the best PW deck exclusive card ever printed.
While it may be a card people will test within Soul sisters, it wont replace Ajani's Pridemate. and with how fast soul sister's wants to beat down I feel this won't replace anything in the deck. At 4 cmc and greater, we have Ranger of eos which mostly is there for late game rebuilding and Archangel of thune which ends the game the turn it comes in most of the time.
