What I really like about this iteration of Chandra is that she's essentially a one sided howling mine that if your opponent has to attack in order to stop will generate further CA by killing their walkers.

A note, her static ability only targets opponents or Planeswalkers.
Edit: guess you realized that and corrected yourself just before I quoted it. Carry on.

i mean she is card advantage, which is nowadays not so rare in red (Light up the Stage,Experimental Frenzy,Risk Factor, but usually its not something where red shines. And the thing that you can just sit there and tick her up & enjoy the card advantage while the opponent has to calculate the punishment he gets for attacking her (since she deals damage equal to the loyality counters she will lose) is kind of nice. and when you get to the ultimate you get to draw alot of potential damage while also drawing damage. i think people are underrating her a litte, cause she actually is: +1: exile the top card and put 1 potential damage into reserve.
Idk how good she is but over all I love her design just because she both protects herself and then can refill your hand a turn while dealing 7 damage.

She is a 4 mana planeswalker who will do 5 damage to an opponent / walker and or generate card advantage if she lives. I think I see places for her to work in standard but I don't play those decks myself so I could be wrong.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Why did it take me this long to realize its worded that "whenever" tokens are removed from her and not when "I remove" the tokens...interesting way to make your opponent think twice about attacking her. Only a rare too, so I might be able to pick one up, cool.
I think she is really good. Hard removal being the only way to “win” against her, and even then, you are still digging one deep(not very good for 4 mana, but it’s an even trade nonetheless). If you can fire off the ultimate, you’ll probably win.
Chandra's playability will depend on how many Planeswalkers end up in Standard. Her not being able to damage creatures is a letdown, albeit understandable, so she really shines at being a card advantage machine that's hard to deal with without going minus yourself. Of course, if your opponent controls no 'walkers, she only shoots face, which is not where the kind of deck that usually plays 'walkers would want to be.
Chandra's Pyrohelix is sweet. It lands on a weird spot on Standard where it's versatile, but with both Shock and Carnival // Carnage being a thing, not sure if anyone would want it. Still a big player in Limited.
Chandra is certainly solid that's for sure. Against decks without destroy a walker function she's a 4 mana deal 5 gain 5 life in most situations. It just seems like not enough in a controlling shell and in an aggro oriented shell Theater of Horror seems better. I could see Chandra making way in the format though.
Shalai, Voice of Plenty shuts down chandra's triggered ability hard causing either damage to be redirected to your other planeswalkers or to loose her.

This. When we saw this card a week ago, the first thing I thought of was kind of like a PW Shrine of Burning Rage.
I really like those feud sub-plots depicted in cards, really gives the idea of a planeswalker war not only boringly as "eternals vs everyone else". Nahiri vs Sorin and now Chandra vs Dovin. Mmm, there are other feud lefts?

Ye, like Ral, the lack of a may triggered ability kinda hurts her. (or being able to shoot creatures, if she could she would be really good)
Jace: Right, so when I stand around thinking, I'm just wasting time, but it's okay for you to stand around thinking, short-term no less? Chandra: Think, think, think...you say something, Jace? I'm trying to think of the best fire spell to cast right now.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Given how the spoiler season has lined up with "telling a story" each day, we should probably expect to see Dovin Baan's card today from somewhere.

I won't talk about constructed, but she is good in limited.

We may get Jaya too if they’re telling a story.
Easy include for punisher style decks.
