I'm sure somebody has mentioned it somewhere, but do you think the planeswalkers that don't have any plus loyalty abilities represent the ones that will die?

They literally have no way of saving themselves.
Nah. Just the ones that are less story relevant. I'm sure someone will die but they aren't going to kill 20 walkers.

I doubt it, I think they are just the uncommon ones so that the limited format doesn't completely devolve into standstills. They have no + abilities and - abilities that won't kill them, so they can activate abilities..then stick around for their passive effect.
Besides, I'd be pretty shocked if both Lili and Gideon made it out alive.
Mostly I just hope Bolas stays dead this time and the story can move on. It's my one wish.
The trailer and bolas card makes it look like he wins. Can’t wait to see how he loses.
He's probably going to cast The Elder Spell, ascend to his ultimate form, then get attacked by Gideon and Niv with combined hieromantic powers letting the Blackblade boop Bolas' soul. That way we get all the dope cards in print but the story still gets to kill off the villain and move on to something new.
I hope. I don't even want Bolas dead from a villain standpoint. I'm still salty that Time Spiral, a set I loved and still love, is when the silly comic book resurrection happened.
This in turn means you could open a sealed box with six different uncommon planeswalkers and they're all playable in a single color. Neat. Ginger Lady and Dovin could be swapped around, but my guess is they want the four fresh faces (Teyo, Davriel, Ginger Lady, Hat Lady) to be appear more frequently, thus putting them all at uncommon.
I moved Yanguu to rare because Maro has been talking a lot lately about how Yanguu's defining feature is his ability to planeswalk with Mowu (his dog). I don't think the ability to create a legendary creature is something they would put on a uncommon PW. Assuming there are no color pair overlaps among rare (other than colorless) UG makes the most sense since I believe part of his dual deck backstory was that he was searching for medicine if I remember correctly.
Moved Viven Reid to mono green due to moving Yanguu.
Moved Jaya to uncommon mono-colored. I believe she makes more sense here than Sarkhan since her secondary color is green which is already taken by Samut.
Moved Sarkhan to rare and made him R/. Sarkhan is a bit tricky since he is always red, but has been green, blue, and black before. I think RB makes the most sense by process of elimination since their is a clear lack of black among the rare PW while RU and RG already have rare PW.
I have Hat Lady and Staff Lady filling the W and (G/W) Planeswalker slots. I wouldn't be surprised if which ever one ends up in the (G/W) slot ends up being Tacenda Verlasen (personally I think she is Staff Lady. It would also explain why the Blind Eternity's laziest PW is doing anything.
I feel like 80% sure Davriel will be demon based since I'm not sure how they capture his spell stealing in an uncommon. Honestly it kind of make me wish he is actually a rare so we can get a true Davriel card that steals spells and summons demons. Then again maybe on the next Davriel card.
In the story, Ral is trying to cast a spell to give Niv-Mizzet the power of the Guildpact. That would explain the 5 colors if these are real.
But we also know he gets sabotaged by Dovin. Also the fact that it references color pairs in the card text is very strange.
What story had all that? Or, is that all taken from text on cards? I thought I'd been reading all the stories released, waiting on the ebook, and I don't remember any of that.

Nissa, Who Shakes the World is quite underwhelming to say the least. While her Wild Growth static ability is nice the +1 ability isn't good enough to warrant her -8 unless you're able to survive a few turns with Plaguemaw Beast boosting Nissa which is a shame since I was thinking about including her in my Nissa, Vastwood Seer EDH / Commander deck. While having an amazing ETB trigger I don't think Niv-Mizzet Reborn still isn't good enough to replace Ramos, Dragon Engine in Commander while I can see Domri, Anarch of Bolas being a reliable budget alternative for Vexing Shusher in Gruul builds.
EDIT: A second thought I might actually include Nissa, Who Shakes the World in EDH / Commander after seeing Pollenbright Druid and Evolution Sage get spoiled. I guess Mono Green Superfriends could be an actual thing in EDH / Commander thanks to what we're getting in War of the Spark. Sucks that the Feather, the Redeemed EDH / Commander deck I've been wanting to build recently spiked in price while getting screwed over from massive buy outs. But that's the Command Zone podcast for ya, spiking popular cards for collectors instead of players.

I hope Pillar of Paruns (or equivalent) is reprinted. I could see a solid deck with that new Niv-Mizzet, but the mana base needs work. If I could get a pillar plus the current 5 color gate it might be enough. Niv-Mizzet with Rhythm of the Wild, Mortify, Bedevil etc.
He honestly might see play in Vintage just as a one-sided Null Rod for 4, at least in sideboards. Actually, scratch that, the dude's a one-sided Null Rod that can also reach into your SB to grab your: Pithing Needle, Grafdigger's Cage, Tormod's Crypt, Engineered Explosives... the list goes on and on. If the decks that can reliably cast this on turn 2 start playing it main, Dredge may lose a LOT of percentage points in G1s. The more I think about it, the more confident I am that he's going to make a huge splash in Vintage.

Since Sarkhan isn't a crazy Nichol Bolas servant anymore I think he's just gonna be mono-red. I wouldn't be surprised if he was like, just an uncommon Dragon Tempest you can kill with creatures or another dragon discounter with some generic red ability or something.
Also if I am reading that Teferi correctly...Like, my god. I thought the last Teferi was annoying enough.

This is both premature and uncharitable, my friend. Good writing typically demands the protagonists to overcome difficult, seemingly-impossible odds. There are plenty of awesome, narratively-satisfying ways they can beat Bolas.

It's just the "how" that ultimately matters.
The Hat Lady is going to be some janky jank planeswalker with an ability like +1>> Sacrifice yourself, your opponent draws 4 cards. Nicol Bolas will copy that activated ability and unknowingly cast it, sacrificing himself. Meanwhile, Jace draws cards, all of which are Force of Will, and then he just wins.
Huatli was GW in her latest iteration so I assume she gets that Hybrid place. Perhaps she well also how the pure white position essentially switching places with Hat Lady.
I moved Staff Lady to Boros, because Boros is often represented by red-headed females.
We have confirmation that mono colored rare slots can occur twice. So I would assume Vivian and Jaya to simply be G and R respectively.

Ugin feels a bit weird if he's one of the Rares. You'd think he would be a Mythic. I'm not saying these are fake(especially since they have pretty much correct templating) but just seems weird.

I’m guessing Bolas’ overarching theme is “power = fun”?
Almost all of his cards have some really fun abilities.
Teferi is freaking crazy,
I’m trying to figure out how the costlier Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir is better than this new one.
Niv-Mizzet is cool and makes decent sense as an evolution for the character.
He was too interested in knowing everything to limit himself to UR.
Simic legend is coolbut not espcially Mythic-worthy.
Still, glad to see GU using Proliferate.
Do we have an explanation for Sorin’s presence?
I’m not surprised but I hope they have a story for that.
