I know we have the Mimeoplasm, but we need an Ooze tribal leader. They're always decent cards.
Well, we do have the new Simic Prime Speaker too, but I mean something that actually cares about Oozes.
So this makes a total of 6 power the turn you drop it, and even if you don't pump out more tokens, you'll always get two more counters per turn. That has the potential to get out of hand fast if it isn't dealt with, particularly with all the +1/+1 stuff floating around right now.
Had this been "create a copy of" etb with "each other ooze" itd be definitely worth the mana
but hey this is green, as it is is very nice already. untap with it and youre golden. i guess the goal is having this turn 4 (does the payoff on this makes turn 2 ramp with traveler's amulet viable? it curves well into that dino that lets you play extra lands... still, probably not), but its nice how mythics are settling as build around me cards (even when its not viable competitively)
even so, i know its years now but still so strange so many abilities and effects on the same body
Ugh, we definetly need a Jund or Temur legendary ooze. Maybe something that removes counters or something. I dislike anthem-type legendaries, too linear.
Cards pretty cool though. 6/6 across two bodies at EOT for 5? Very solid indeed.
I'm a big fan of oozes but have never really thought to make a ooze tribal deck... Until now. As someone else already mentioned, Arcane Adaptation is in Standard. So are Vanquisher's Banner, Mirror March (soon to be), and Quasiduplicate. I could see running Biogenic Ooze in a threat heavy Temur ramp deck.
Ehh, at Mythic, I'd expect it to make tokens that are copies of itself, rather than just a vanilla 2/2 Ooze.
This has too much of a "cut off the head" problem, when really, flavorfully, you'd want to eradicate the entirety of it to stop it going out of control.
This mythic feels way too safe and rather boring. Its not bad ofcourse, but could have been more creative like people said about creating copies of itself(adjust numbers ofcourse).
