Kaya's WrathWWBB Sorcery (R)
Destroy all creatures. You gain life equal to the number of creatures you controlled that were destroyed this way. Teysa convened the meeting of the Obzedat. Kaya ended it.
Four mana wraths are nice but this probably has a very fringe benefit outside of the specific context of afterlife - when else would you ever wrath while you had a significant number of creatures on the board?
Man... Kind of sad to see the Obzedat go, as well as a lot of the Guild Leaders who have been offed by the Planeswalkers. They're killing off cool, flavorful cards with interesting abilities and replacing them with generic humanoids... WHO I CAN'T USE AS COMMANDERS.
I kind of hope everyone dies by the end of the third set of Ravnica.
I've wrathed away a stalled board where both sides had lots of creatures but it was never advantageous to be the first to swing.
I've also swung on a board state like that because I know I'll be wrathing after (and not just being open to the swingback on my opponent's turn).
But yeah it is a fringe benefit. You don't design your deck around the lifegain. You design your deck around the wrath. And you happen to get a little lifegain sometimes.

Yeah... I know that color requirements like these are easier to cast than normal in a multicolor environment but I feel like this could have just had Fumigate text.

Emergency reset of the board in a multiplayer game of EDH (Avenger of Zendikar; I look at you).
Well - we all knew it was coming, but I'm kinda sad to see the Obzedat go this way. Still - at least it looks like Teysa instigated it, so she should be well set for taking over once Kaya's moved on. Patience is something WB is fine with.
I like it. You have more creatures, but the other guy has something that outclassed all of them, it doesn't feel quite so bad to nuke from orbit. This is the color pair for a token deck, so that scenario is not unlikely. Wipe out your 5 little Soldier tokens, take out their single Dragon, gain 5 life. A great sideboard card agsinst the type of deck that plays Dragons, Sphinxes, big flying Demons. It's not good enough for Modern by a long shot, but EDH playable obviously, and something is very strange if it doesn't see significant Standard play

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
Definitely a bad Fumigate. It may be one mana cheaper, but unless you have perfect mana, you may not be able to cast it at 4 anyway, and it gains less life.
The life-gain rider is weird for limited. It is not something that will come up much in constructed... I understand that it will be good with Afterlife in limited but I would have liked to see something like : Destroy all creatures. Put a 1/1 black and white Spirit creature with flying onto the battlefield.
I just feel like the second sentence does nothing in constructed, which is so weird for a rare card.
In Commander you have Wrath of God, Day of Judgment, and Damnation in BW... this card is much harder to cast for an admittedly limited upside...
Speaking of:
This card is just weird... the lifegain portion of the card is actually really bad... The only time it would be even remotely impactful is if you had multiple creatures on the field.. but if you DID have multiple creatures on the field, why would you be blowing it up?... it feels like a sort of Gideon issue (the one that got loyalty for enemy creatures), the time this card is at its best is precisely when you DONT want to be using it....

Exactly this. It's very playable.
Kinda hate the fact that the Obzedat are gone to lame ass Kaya the ghostbuster...

This is probably more usable in the context of the set. I'd still like to see some heavier Exile effects, though.
