Nice for Commander for those decks that don't really need Seedborn Muse, but would like to cast their fatties without having to worry about needing mana to respond on other turns.

Did we really need to be be able to start extra turns with nexus of fate this much easier? I mean drop this turn 4, drop Teferi turn 5, and boom...7 mana.

Yeah this does make Nexus of Fate with Teferi in BANT colors worth looking at again.
It's a cool card but has significant downsides compared to seedborn. Doesn't untap nonlands and only once instead of every upkeep. Which makes it a great control card without being as busted with flash and activated abilities and such.

Yeah this does make Nexus of Fate with Teferi in BANT colors worth looking at again.
not sure how many other green cards UW control wants but the fact its only a single green mana on turn 4 makes this extremely splashable with low investment. Whereas a 'fixer' like attune with aether when it was in rotation, is counterintuitively a bigger strain since you don't get as many turns/draws to find that green mana to cast it on turn 1. UW could just slot in a few extra WG/UG duals or rainbow sources and reliably have access to 3G on turn four, 2UU enemy turn 4 and 8WUUU on turn five.
That's pretty scary if there's no nexus and/or teferi ban because we've still got a whole lot of reveals left to go in this set and any extra counters, sweepers or maybe a relevant splashable green card could all keep pushing that UW(G) control.
Think the kicker is will there be a good 3 CMC UW boardwipe like Deafening Clarion and anymore white spot removal.
That plus some good cheap defensive/life gain creatures could swing it.

I try to have a mix of meaner & nicer EDH decks so I can pick an appropriate one for whatever situation. The positive interaction with Stasis is one of this card's key advantages over Seedborn Muse. It's also easier to cast.
Oh, my. Yeah that's going to be a thing in one my of kitchen table decks of my next round of creations. People who hated the simic deck in my cycle before (it was Turbo Fog) are gonna hate it even more next round!
