you'll need a mostly creatureless deck, because a deck full of big creatures becomes too slow and clunky.
and with just a few, chances are, you're hitting another piece of this crap and being stuck to a 1/1 vanilla for a full turn.
also, this is fragile on a spectacular fashion, I mean, the whole first turn, this thing is a 1/1 for 4....
man, this is unplayable anywhere and everywhere.

Even if you hit another Amplifire, it's still going to be a 2/2. And if you hit a 3/3, it becomes a 6/6. So it's not like you need to fill your deck with 7/7s for 10.
Not saying this is playable in constructed or anything, but comments like this always make me wonder whether people actually read the card...

lol, you're right, I missed the "twice".
still horrible though.
without any evasion or trample on the 4 mana slot, it hardly matters it's a 1000/1000 really.
I mean, how big would a vanilla 4 drop need to be to be actually played on competitive decks?
Easy to manipulate top of deck with surveil and scry or other ways to get giant creature on top in other formats..................then it gets chump bloocked

Been a member here for over a dozen years. Playing since '95 just got lost in the twitch shuffle.
That would be fun if it would also gain the generic keywords of the creature revealed, like trample, flying, first/double strike and so on. Getting a random vanilla with horrible base stats for 4CMC at rare isn't really exciting otherwise.

in a deck with a creature density big enough for you to manipulate the top looking 2, 3 cards at a time and find a creature on those, would you really want to waste your 4 drop slot with a vanilla dude? really....

It flips the top until you get a creature. Not a good card by any means but you will never whiff.
I dunno, I sense a Thud deck coming in the future. Reveal a Demanding Dragon, attack for 10, then Thud for 10 seems decent. Or if you want to really go all in on the Thud plan, play a bunch of Crackling Drakes and Enigma Drakes. Double * power for the turn adds up pretty quickly.
It is funny, but I pity the poor guy who tries to force this in draft..and doesn't see any big creatures.

I hate the randomness of this card, but at least it has no trample or something else to be just silly.

Liked the suggestion on reddit - hit a Deaths Shadow, hit it with Temur Battle Rage. Swing for 52.
This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
I am trying to imagine a scenario where you can play this with Ghalta, Primal Hunger and trample to victory.
Or maybe you play it with Goblin Tunneler.
