Can someone say when Spoiler-season now is gonna start ?
It happens today at 11 AM EST, but I think we're going to be loaded on previews considering the prerelease is on the 19th, and we have a week and a half before they give us the full thing on the 11th.
Either way it's pretty exciting. I just want to know about the third Rav set at least in name. But I think that in and of itself is too indicative of the storyline direction so they're probably waiting until RNA is fully spoiled before letting that out of the hat.

HR Analyst. Gamer. Activist | Fearless, and forthright | Aggro-control is a mindset. Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
I'm getting some serious HR Giger vibes from the second art. I actually think there's room in Magic for artists with a distinct style and more abstract pieces. I feel like there's a lot of monotony in Magic art the last few years.
I think there was a time WotC tried to push in a certain direction (if the Persecute Artist jab was any indicator) but the feedback made itself pretty clear and generally speaking WotC is pretty "chill" with art nowadays. At the same time though, they made it pretty clear they aren't going the extra expense for some ratio of presence and it's pretty much a known fact that MTG doesn't offer the best of deals for art (which to be fair to WotC considering the amount of art they need to churn out consistently on a yearly basis compared to say, a video game which is a done deal past some point, is definitely something finance will pay attention to.)
Creative-wise, I think WotC has made the room open, it's just their financial restrictions and the general direction/styles of the pool of fantasy artists (especially the upcoming ones since said budgeting usually makes MTG more of a stepping stone in the world of fantasy art) creates pretty much the pool of art we're getting now - we'll get more abstract art when those artists "pass by" and accept the WotC deals and since generally speaking, these artists ascend faster (due to the general direction of the pool I mentioned) and get more lucrative deals, they also have a "faster turnover rate".

Totally agree. Seams like a lot of the art in the past was just repeated Photoshop pieces. Very reminiscent of early to mid era Magic art. Lovin' it... can't understand some of the hate, hmmmm....
Would love to see more artwork like Bankrupt in Blood in the game. Hope the trend continues.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Why is everyone guessing that BiB is an Exsanguinate variant? If I was a betting man, I'd say this was a barter in blood variant that deals damage (letting orzhov sacrifice dudes and rakdos hit the face)?

And yeah, Bankrupt in Blood made me think of HR Giger. Which really fits, since the Rakdos are basically the guild of sadomasochists. Erotic horror is sort of their thing.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Bankrupt in Blood XBBWW
Sorcery Mythic
Deal X damage to all creatures in play.
Gain X life, where X is the total damage
dealt by BiB this turn.
If it were to be worded like that, that feels very mythic-like, as it can be a huuuuge board wipe AND massive life gain.
Also, Judith looks like a real badass, like the kind of lady that takes gruff from no one. A real ball-buster if you get my drift...

I see that... changed it too be an Orzhov-like build... same idea, but now more Orzhov in taste (really didn't change much, lol)...

And hopefully rakdos gets more love than last time... last time was a bad time to be a rakdos lover...
This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
