Can we take a minutw and acknowledge how much FNM promos have improved since before the token snafu? Look at this, three very playable cards, all potential Standard staples. The GRN ones were great too, we got the Thoughtseize effect, the best counterspell and a staple removal spell. Before that, Bugler, Cast Down, freaking Opt ... they are just nailing it.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Well, there go any artifact shennanigans I might have had going in Commander. And I had the loveliest Slobad-powered egg-juggling cost-reducing comborama monstrosity with mana rocks, silly lands, rituals, infinite recast loops and now I bet this girl will be in every Bant, Grixis, Esper and Azorius deck ever.
I mean, she even hoses banal mana-rock ramp of all things. And mana-dorks. I can't decide if I want to never see her played at my table or if I want to pay someone money to play her as their commander every time I sit down to play, so that she's always there.
Four things are sure. If an environment is such that she hoses stuff in it - she's a really strong card. If you play her and she hoses nothing whatsoever - well, that means your opponent isn't doing many very dangerous things they could be doing. Third, as the Carnivorous Death-Parrot put it: "Save a kill spell to deal with this guy" - plenty of non-interactive decks might find themselves in need of interaction due to the existance and probable availability of this card.
And lastly - I don't remember the last time in... a decade? more?... that I felt so much like playing UW. I find the idea of dusting off my hugely silly Replenish - Parallax Wave / Parallax Tide getup, and sticking her in as my commander. Much lols to be had, and that's probably not even the silliest thing you can do with her.

"Masques Block is the worst block ever! There's not one decent card in there! The whole internet say's so, you're literally the only person who ever said it was good!" - random noob in a conversation with an Eldrazi.
Lavinia hoses so many things in Commander it's not even funny. And both her abilities say "your opponents", so you do get to do the usual wacky nonsense, but other guys don't. It's hard to imagine what the format even looks like with only one guy being allowed to use Force of Will / Pact of Negation, Ancient Tomb / Sol Ring or any kind of mana acceleration other than pure land ramp as far as non-creature spells go, 0 mana rocks... The list goes on.
You can say what you want about her not displacing Meddling Mage in non-singleton formats, but as far as commander goes she'll either get very banned very fast, or fly under everybodies radar while the wider community catches on, then get discovered, then get banned very fast. Or we get a rule which gives everyone an emblem with her rules text at the start of every game.
Might be a bit of hyperbole there, but, um, I'm not sure I'm that far off from fact.

Lavinia is probably the dumbest "you don't get to play magic" cards in a long time. Honestly. Slots MD into the tier 0 deck of modern and it affects:
Tron
Burn (rift bolt)
Infect (mutagenic)
Mardu (turn 1 looting, turn 2 souls)
Ad Nauseum (bloom)
Living End
Jund (cascade)
U/x Turns (miracle)
UWx Control (delve, terminus)
Phoenix variants (gut shot)
Hollow One
This is dumb.
So basically... it kills degenerate decks unless they actually have the gall to interact for once?

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Lavinia also significantly nerfs Ironworks because it shuts down Spine of Ish Sah and prevents Ironworks from looping Mox Opals for mana. I'm also not sure if it will block you from sacrificing Darksteel Citadels to cast a spell with a CMC higher than the lands you have left after sacrificing it.
I’m surprised at how many think Lavinia is truly busted. The fact her first ability doesn’t hit creature spells is massive. She’s one of the very few cards I think is best in Vintage (for Lotus and the Moxen with her 2nd ability and the Lotus, Moxen, and Shop with the first ability), second best in Legacy (for FoW which is in a ridiculous percentage of decks and cards like LED and fast mana like OG Ritual and lands like Ancient Tomb), 3rd best in Modern (against things like Ad Nauseum and certain ramp strategies) and worst in Standard, as Standard is the most creature heavy and has very little in free spells outside of Omniscience. It’s like an inverse of what we usually see.
I think she’ll be sideboard at best in Modern, maindeck in some strategies and sideboard in others for Legacy, and a ataple in Vintage. But I don’t think she’ll be that ridiculous. I could very well be wrong though.

your assesment seems right. I think she could see mainboard play in legacy since she can pitch to force of will though. Maybe even mainboard modern depending on the meta. I wouldn't play her in the current meta, but I can see one where she would be fine in the main.

So, who wants to be the one to tell them that their Orzhov basics have the wrong expansion symbol? That's Ixalan, yo.
Can't tell if joking... If not:
The lands/cards from the RNA kits use the guild symbol. Orzhov's is an eclipse which, while it is very, very similar, is a bit different from Ixalan's compass rose symbol (specifically, the rays at north/south/east/west DON'T connect to the center in the Orzhov symbol, like they DO connect in the compass rose).
Lavinia is really strong, especially in Eternal.
It is blue for your Force of Wills and blocks the opposite free counters.
Luckily, it is legendary and it is a creature, so there are enough ways to deal properly with her.
So if all the guilds with Planeswalkers have fallen to Bolas, does that mean that the true saviors of Ravnica are the guys that probably are in charge of throwing birthday parties and likely blew up a couple of peoples houses in the process?

I can't tell if Simic Ascendancy using counters as a wincon makes it more or less likely that Proliferate will be Simic's keyword. I'm leaning toward more.

Ravnica's final hope lies with the gatewatch, a demon lord and the guild that once made a giant ooze to take over the city by reasorbing cytoplast/prostethic limbs.

I wasn't joking when I originally posted it, because I could have sworn it was the exact Ixalan symbol when I originally saw it. Looking back now, though, I'm wondering if I was just seeing it incorrectly.
The attachments in post 3 and post 7 actually show different lands. I think that is what's confusing.
