Another good hit. There have been only four misses at Rare so far (Stirring Wildwood, Lavaclaw Reaches, Visions from Beyond and Squee, Goblin Nabob) and two of those are in a cycle, so it's fine.
Can't wait to see the rest!

You can only have so many hits, before it affects the price. UMA is $335 because it most likely has a lot of high value cards. If every card was minimum $10 then you'd have to charge between $20-25 a pack msrp. Or stores would just keep all the packs and sell singles.
I believe Saffron Olive had pointed out if all the rares unknown before today were worth $0 the average pack EV is still about $10. That number can only go up.
Cards like these are niche. Niche cards that were printed years ago become expensive due to supply. Don't expect niches to stay expensive once it's reprinted though.

It's now at 14 USD with todays spoulers as of 4 pm eastern time.
Good call on Wall of Reverence and Tasigur you two. And yes, this set will likely dip a bit in EV as more of the stuff comes back into circulation.
Our LGS is holding a draft at $50 CDN on launch night (approx $37 U.S., I'd think) so that's about a little under $14 a pack, which is more than fine.
Max payout is $20 store credit for 4-0, but...no one will care about that, likely.

Honestly, the EV for this set looks pretty decent. If you add up the current value of all spoiled rares and divide by 70 (probably a bit more than the actual number of rares in this set), you end up with $13.8.
This value treats the value of all unspoiled rares as $0. This value ignores mythic rares. This value ignores the premium cards in each pack and possible value common/uncommons.
Admittedly, the average is being yanked up by a couple of cards that are likely going to reduce in value (back to basics, hierarch, etc) and those high value cards do make individual packs a higher risk.
If you can get a box for under $260 (like I just did), however, the reduced price per pack and increased number of packs pushes you towards a natural distribution of NICE value (even if you buy a box with the topper removed).
So Battlebond was good, and Ultimate Master might follow its footstep?
The price point is too high for most walk in buying, so it's not the same thing. The reason the boxes are so numerous at the online seller level is likely because, if most small LGS are like the LGS near me, they didn't make a lot of big orders.
