You gain X life and draw X cards, where X is the number of creatures you contorl. Creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. "Within the song of Mat'Selesnya, one becomes all."
—Heruj, Selesnya hierophant
It's like WotC forgot Selesnya is a mind-controlling cult.
At this rate I expect the Rakdos to actually worship Rakdos instead of entertaining him so that he doesn't kill everyone for fun.
If I would write a book about the "win more" concept.
I'd use this card as the cover.
I suppose it helps you safely overcommit to the board in wrath-heavy environments?
Absolutely. It's a stellar Commander card since it lets an aggressive deck with a high creature count overcommit and reap some benefits before the next wipe.

I member that!
I loved how this "braiwach" trope was in some card and in some of the material of the first ravnica. But i think since the seccond they moved a bit from this aspect (started to ignore). Now they don't botter much anymore (although i like to think Trostany' last ability is a remind of that)
We have to accept mtg is more and more becoming an Comic storywise than it was before. And retcons are commun in comics.
The art looks like it came from a scrapped cycle of Ascendancy-style enchantments. So, it shows off most of the major races within Selesnya, right? Loxodon, Centaur, Dryad, and Human/Elf.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

And Undercity Uprising looks like another one (more similar to DTK Command cycle than KTK Ascendancy cycle if you ask me).
It's like WotC forgot Selesnya is a mind-controlling cult.
Actually they didn't forget that. Members of the Selensynan Conclave from OG Ravnica were lynched at the end of block and murdered in other manners with some members escaping. In Ravnica 2: Electric Boogaloo, the Selensynan Conclave literally had a reformation to not be corrupt like its former self.
What you see on the outside Rav 2.0 and 3.0 for Selesnyan Conclave is what you get on the inside. 3.0 is just when the guild paruns for Selesnya are not on speaking terms with each other.
When someone mentioned that the art on Undercity Uprising looked like it should have been a Golgari Ascendancy I thought little of it. Then this art showed up.

Yeah, looks exactly like that.

Next return to Ravnica, we'll get a card with the exact same art, except with sepia-tone.
Nope, based on the general (vocal) consensus on the guild, this is called "The photo that confirms Saprolings were fired from the Selesnya".
