I don't get how they went from Indestructible guy to 'prevent all noncombat damage to OTHER creatures'.
Haste, CMC, P/T is fine. But he should protect himself somehow. Like switch the first strike with the protection abilty and for WR it protects him as well.
Dunno, im not saying hes bad, but I was expecting something different.
Poor Selesnya. Looks like they are getting the shaft this time...
Flower is great for Selesnya limited. Most of the past cards of this ilk cost G, so in your 2-color limited deck you would be fine if you drew Forests and not your other basic, but were screwed if you drew your other basics and not forest. This fixes you either way. If your opening hand only has one color of land, with this you have the means to cast this to fetch the other one.
Tajic's weird. The card looks like it was designed to be a big flashy build-around, but it looks like it's going to play as an interchangeable curve-filler.
I like the other card more than I should. Lay of the Land is an effect White hasn't gotten in a while.
That "demi" indestructible is actually relevant. It more or less stops your creatures from being killed via direct damage and can only be removed via combat or non-damage removal. That could swing a battle in your favour in some instances.

Not gonna lie. That is some of the ugliest art I've ever seen. Tajic's armor looks like plastic painted with chrome. And his sword is just weird. I liked the wavy sword a lot better.
The Selesnya split card is pretty cool. The front half may be usable in standard. The back half is a great finisher in limited. I wasn't really a fan of the split cards usurping the hybrid slots, but this is a clever way to fit two cards with very different roles into one card slot. Kinda makes me wish every limited card was stapled to a possibly playable card.
I'm kinda surprised he doesn't have a creature-tapping ability, with all that shiny armor. "I'M SORRY TAJIC I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER YOUR ARMOR RIGHT NOW"
More seriously though, it's too bad he can't pump his own power like Boros Challenger. But hey, a 3/2 haste mentor that prevents noncombat damage to your stuff all for 1RW is a pretty good deal as-is.
So, Selesnya's three letters are Flo and Ass...really!? Flower is a neat tutor, though it can't fetch shocks.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Tajic prevents Shalai from being burned; Shalai prevents Tajic from being targeted. The opponent would have to target Shalai first with some sort of hard removal, either destroy or exile. Don't forget--I analyze cards for Standard; other people can analyze them in the context of Modern, Legacy, or Commander.

I didn't forget anything. He dies to Shock on T3 because your tapped out. Unless you plan on trying to ramp into him on T2.
I don't want to list all the other ways to remove him but there are plenty ways to deal with him at T3.

Tajic is awesome. He makes RW aggro a thing. Turn 1 Dauntless Bodyguard, Turn 2 Boros Challenger or Swiftblade or Sunhome Stalwart, into Turn 3 Tajic is going to be nasty. Then back it up with Lightning Strikes, Gird for Battle, Risk Factor, etc...
People right now like to push the agenda that standard is going to be a bunch of midrange decks, but I dunno. Tajic is pretty aggressive.

No one blindly plays creatures into removal or timidly refuses to play things because of removal they *think* the opponent may have in hand. Magical Christmas Land--I dislike that phrase because it presumes that the person to whom you are saying it is an idiot (not accusing you of saying it, just voicing a general opinion)--works both ways--your cards don't always line up perfectly, but neither do your opponent's.

Tbh...your taking this conversation way into left field. So let's move on to something else. Cool? Cool.

Ok, Shield of the realm is pretty bad in itself but this is how you make him survive both Clarion and letting him attack into a defender without dying, in order to Mentor.

Turn 2: Swiftblade
Turn 3: tajic, make swiftblade bigger
Turn 4: ???
Turn 5: Aurelia
This aint your girlfriends meta! This is a man's meta! TURBO META.
Aurelia costs 4, you can just go to town without the ???
Ah xD. I was thinking she cost 5 for some reason...
So yeah, boros aggro is looking solid...

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
He badly needed to be indestructible in some way or another.
The fact they did not put that on him is a issue.

Powerwise its a buffed card for its 3 drop.
It will see play somewhat guaranteed, but with 2 toughness it also dies to a ton of stuff.

And how did you go from being indestructible and getting buffed by your team to the polar opposite?
Sounds like they both eat removal.
