roughly translated Beamsplitter MageUR Creature — Vedalken Wizard {UC}
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell that targets only Raydivide Mage, if you control one or more other creatures that the spell could target, (you may?) choose one of them. If you do, copy that spell targeting the chosen creature.
2/2
The Number crunch puts it between beacon bolt and boros challenger, this name fits better i think
So, if you target him with Hypothesizzle, you get to copy it and choose not to discard both times... and you still get to draw 4? That's a very neat Limited trick.
As for the card itself, seems very fun, but not much else. Kinda like a tiny Zada, Hedron Grinder. Not really outstanding, but can be a cool build-around-me if you get passed the right cards.
It should also be pointed out, since people seem to be missing this part as well, that it says you may choose ONE of them. If OPs translation is correct this doesn’t do most of the things people are going on about. It’s an okay card though. If it weren’t for the flavor it seems like it would want to be a Boros card.
I guess it really wants some kind of good cantrip or otherwise secondary repeatable effect instant/sorcery buffs or combat tricks, but its going to be hard to justify whats otherwise a plain bear in aggro and its so very narrow and restrained to prevent being a combo engine. Maybe my gathererfu is failing me, but there really aren't any cards in standard that even come close in UR are there? Nothing that really combos significantly even to draw 2 cards, getting a 'free bear' from quasiduplicate isn't exactly a wombo. Almost everything is a nombo that hurts yourself
Something as basic as a shadow rift kind of card would at least let this start multiplying card advantage in some kind of aggro-esque shell. rile is not.
Should be good for some cute tricks in Limited. I tried to use both Zada and Mirrorwing Dragon but they both really need "you may choose new target" effects for maximum utility.
Boltsplitter or something like Electrofission, given that they are Izzet?
Also, isn't Nin from Ravnica?
I could see this in Temur. Aggressive Urge would be the cantrip you're looking for. Or you can just turn a Giant Growth (and there's one variant per set) into a cheap Overrun. (If you can swing four-color, Sigil Blessing sounds like lulz.) There are actually a lot of Standard-legal options if you throw in green or white. Do things like untap all your creatures or gain a buttload of life or energy or make all your creatures into a Keldon Warlord until EOT.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Nope, you don't target anything when you cast Hypothesizzle. It's the reflexive trigger that targets, so it won't do anything with this card.
I enjoy this kind of design - and this is a very cheap incarnation which is especially valuable, even if it means that the version of the ability used here is more limited; this also means this is serving a certain niche.
Did we have an effect like this at 3 or less mana yet? The upcoming two examples aren't.

They already give you a copy for each possible target. You just want to pile them up on the same creature? That's totally ignoring the design intent behind those cards. In the name of "maximum utility". :/

I didn't make myself clear. What I mean is that no one is going to target your Mirrorwing Dragon with a Murder. However, if they target some other creature you have then you can use something like Swerve to change the target to the dragon, which will then copy/reflect it back at all of the caster's creatures. Similarly, if your opponent tries to use Become Immense on one of their creatures, you Swerve it onto your Zada, which then copies it onto all of your creatures.
That being said, even those instances might not work because of the "whenever" clause--Swerve happens after the original spell that so it isn't "whenever" any more. The phrase would have to read something like "when x becomes the target of".
That's probably the most aggro Vedalken we've ever seen. He looks like Sigma if he joined the BMG.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I don't know how to feel about this guy. He seems weirdly placed, at least but maybe it'll be good in limited.
Rampin' with Enter the Unknown in a Temur Build?
I enjoy this interaction, at least. The way the ability is worded I think having multiple beam splitters out mean you can get another copy for each one, making this and the Aggressive Urge mentioned earlier a lot stronger when you have multiple splitters out. If it does work the way I imagine, at least.
Zada is what? A legendary 3/3 for 4 with the duplicate ability on all creatures? Beam splitter is a 2/2 for 2 that allows you to go infinite with so many different cards. Beamsplitter is clearly superior
