I like that she is costed appropriately for what her guild/color pair is trying to do, can't say that about Warleader. She's very efficiently costed even if she only targets herself, and doing something at ETB is gravy. Love it.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
I expected that RW would get a reasonably powerful mythic creature that probably has no Modern applications at all and I wasn't disappointed.
Hope is fading for something that I can use. She's a good card. Just not what I need.
Blah
Did you want her to have haste too? She buffs a creature the turn she comes out then starts the beating the following turn.
I don't play aggro. I play RW. I want a strong answer card or maybe a global enchantment or some good stuff. Every time Ravnica comes around they force these "strong in standard" creatures in Boros colors and that ensures that neither this set nor any of the following ones can have the sort of stuff that I enjoy, because it would likely make RW too powerful.
It's great for people who like that sort of stuff but I'm realizing that I probably have very little to look forward to until these aggro cards rotate out of standard.
Flying
It gets +2/+0 and trample if red, vigilance if white.
I guess you are wrong here. It's hard to tell because in Russian, there is no difference between "gets" and "gains" but my guess is the +2/+0 bonus is for all and the keyword is for color.
What I don't get is why is their such a hate boner against RW and Boros. Boros specifically and RW in general is just so pigeonholed into attack, attack, attack again.
Its especially funny when you consider Mono Red cards are getting more creative but RW is stuck in quicksand apparently.
Red is losing Hazoret, Glorybringer and Chandra as the curve toppers. But we can focus on the creatures of which it doesn't replace either.
2 weeks within the Spoilers and we have yet to see an angel other than Aurelia in Boros-related cards (well, it might still be too early...) but I'm having a feeling that she has expunged the other angels so she can rule with awe the Boros more. hmmn...
ps. Chris Rahn art? Hooo, lawdy... I'm hearing dollar bills, coz this is most probably traditional art.
This is day 4 of spoilers, the PAX (I think) spoilers aren't really a part of telling the time on this. We also have seen a grand total of 2 Rare/Mythic Boros creatures and only 5 Monocolor White cards. So the fact we haven't seen other angels is probably due to that.
And the quest for a more interesting r/w commander continues! Join us next set for more disappointment as we continue to not explore any aspect of this color pair outside of the red zone!

MTG Junky... First packs being a starter of each 4th Edition and Ice Age. Good Grief, I've been playing since 1995? Where does the time go!

this is mtgs, where occam's razor is so blunt it can't cut jello any more.
This thing is not pushed at all. Is she even good enough for Standard?
Why doesn't she have Haste? Why does she give Trample instead of something more in line with her color identity?
The question was not "make that combo happen consistently" but "is she good enough for Standard?". That chain of events (pun intended) will happen from time to time, but even if it doesn't happen all the time this version of Aurelia *will* be good enough for Standard. Now, are people going to play a more midrange version of red/white as opposed to a lower-to-the-ground version? *shrug* I don't know. If I were planning on playing red/white, though, I would be looking to put at least 2 of her in the main.

Do you think consistency is unimportant in Standard? That people just throw crap into a deck and hope something good happens?
I have been seeing red, red/white, and red/black decks consistently cast the Chainwhirler on turn 3 since the card hit Standard. The addition of Sacred Foundry will allow this trend to continue.
Sure but RB doesn't need to get Chainwhirler out by turn 3 to carry it to wins, it has plenty of good red cards to cast.
Chainwhirler and Aurelia will be in a meta where the best thing you can do might be Whirler 3 and Aurelia Turn 4. It needs more reliability cause it looking as the mentor cards is playing with far worse other cards from the top of curve in Glorybringer, Hazoret and Chandra to the bottom of Bomat Courier.
I absolutely dissapointed for the total lack of creativity they have for boros. At this point its on purpose. This card is crap. I have been waiting for her for months and all she does is trash. i can't believe wizards won't listen to their player base. I am not asking for a brainstorm, but value. Tokens, Exiling like Etali, there are lots of ways of doing this. This card is just a another joke against the boros commander players.
Holy balls.
This being the third block set on Ravnica, I thought people would have come to understand and accept that THIS IS WHAT BOROS IS. The identity of this faction has been pretty well hammered out over the years. Maybe Boros is not what you want for (R/W), but I don't know why you'd come to a new Ravnica set expecting anything different. Multicolor is evergreen now, so I'd expect you'd be more likely to get something novel for (R/W)outside of a Ravnica set.
The card is fine. It's good. It's meant to be a lord for the Boros block mechanic, and I would say it gets a big A+++ there. It doesn't move the needle much at all for EDH, but not all cards have to. Standard: doesn't look like the kind of card that makes a build viable all by itself, but it could slot into something and execute just fine. I bet it will be pretty good in Brawl.
