I think compared to Undergrowth Scavenger (which, incidentally, probably isn't in the set considering its similarity to this) this is all upside. Haste is a pretty big deal on a card that should average a 4/4 or 5/5 by the time you want to cast it. I'm not sure its quite constructed level (being twice the cost of Boneyard Wurm and unable to keep growing) but it's going to smash a lot of face in limited.

I could see it maybe in the sideboard of mono green stompy vs control. they kill/counter a bound of stuff, then when they tap out you drop this. (though seal away and settle the wreckage screw this card over. Depends on what form of control there is
they are totally not a Goyf, no matter how much they say they arn't. The New mechanic does make them function like a gofy, but they still are not as good compared to some of the other ones.
This is just a G burn spell if you think about it, other than the fact it needs removal/blockers to answer it (and/or it stays on the field to deal more damage later on) in exchange for well, not being able to direct where the "burn" goes unless the opponent has no blockers (and then you can only choose face).
Or, that's me just trying to justify the haste (I know Green does get it, but it's an occasional one that needs justification). Without it, it's just an overcosted Boneyard Wurm (even with +1/1 counters for tech its still overcosted) and we know how well the Wurm went...
Haste is a static ability that lets a creature ignore the "summoning sickness" rule. If a creature has haste, it can attack even if it hasn't been controlled by its controller continuously since their most recent turn began, and also its controller can activate its activated abilities whose cost includes the tap symbol or the untap symbol even if that creature hasn't been controlled by that player continuously since their most recent turn began.
It's an evergreen keyword. That's why there is no reminder text. You usually get to see it in red, but black and green also get haste every now and then.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Sorry but i think the person was confused about haste in green more than the mechanic itself, not sure though
A four mana boneyard wurm. Well, but unlike the wurm it does not die if creature cards in the yard later gets removed, also the haste to kick some ass right away - truly raiders.
Green's tertiary in haste and flying. This means, it's never at common, and you can go an entire Standard without seeing it, but it does show up every few years. Probably in menace as well, since it was tertiary in intimidate.
Anyway, the obvious comparison is Boneyard Wurm. Survives Tormod's Crypt (after it ETB) and you can use those +1/+1 counters for things. Also, has synergy with Doubling Season and friends (Note that Corpsejack Menace was a Golgari card last time around. I guess that redeems Corpsejack not simply being gateless.), and can be brought back with Reveillark if you're being nice and not going infinite.
Another comparison is Golgari Grave-Troll, which actually does have a good body, but everyone just sees "zomg dredge 6!" and ignores everything else.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
