I like this. It was pretty rare in limited and Commander to get to a point where one could "double activate" most guildmages and have them be relevant, so I am excited to have them tap for a powerful effect instead.
That being said, it makes things awkward for House Guildmage here as it has an ability you'd likely need to use every turn (the blue one) in limited, paired with an ability you'll really miss out on late-game not being able to double activate. It does make it efficient, flexible, and a strong pick though so I guess it's good design despite the tension.

I was thinking about how much more powerful these new guildmages are than the previous ones until I noticed the tap symbol :/ That really hurts later in the game when you have the mana to cast the card and activate the ability (potentially multiple times) in the same turn. Oh well, I certainly don't dislike these new versions. They still do cool stuff and give you multiple options.
I'm kinda surprised they didn't use the secondary word for each Guild during the second trip to Ravnica. I mean first trip had Azorius Guildmage, Boros Guildmage, etc., so why didn't they do Senate Guildmage, Legion Guildmage, etc. for the second trip? I get that New Prahv Guildmage and the rest are all named after the Guildhomes, but still, kinda weird that they skipped the second word in each Guild's name last time.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

I like this one aa lot more than Swarm Guildmage.

It appears that I misread it--no worries.
