Forum sucks and there have been plenty of similar cards and they were both rare and also sucked.
I see these nice undergrowth cards but 0 enablers atm. Where are mulch and grapple with the past or honestly some cards with something similar to dredge on them to get Golgari rolling.

chill out there are a ton of cards left and most of the enablers will be spoiled towards the end this part of spoiler season is all about the juicy cards
edit: Also you're forgetting they already revealed a strong enabler the dimir mechanic surveil
It is not the first one with these types. That belongs to a certain Time Spiral thallid. Fun thing is that Deathspore Thallid is a Zombie Fungus, whereas this is a Fungus Zombie.

Forum definitely should have been an uncommon. I actually like the Hulk for limited, by the time you get to around 6 mana there's a decent chance to play it then and possibly get a land back at the same time.
dont get this undergrowth...whats the point in giving this ability if u increase the cmc ?
molderhulk could easy be a 6 mana 6/6 with the return land ability
so you make him 9 mana and give him undergrowth seems not that worth to me, since it barely makes him better, in some scenarios even worse.
The card has the >potential< to be a 2-mana 6/6 with a bonus ability. So I guess, that's the reason why they increased the CMC.

Have you ever played with Delve creatures ? Gurmag Angler is a 7 mana vanilla 5/5... Undergrowth is meant to work with dredge-like mechanics.

Stitcher's Supplier ? The deck can already smells Sultai with Narcomoeba. Reassembling Skeleton, the Explore mechanic, Search for Azcanta, the Surveil mechanic... I don't know, it's janky so far but in every set, we have themes that can't turn competitive until the set just before rotation.

If I'm being honest I don't see undergrowth being a good mechanic.
Surveil is most likely to be the main mechanic to fuel graveyard strategies, and we can already tell from the spoilers that they are costed premium for the effect.
Delve is just so much more easy to fuel. The difference between any card going to graveyard and specifically creatures cards is night and day.
I going to say it's probably unreasonable to expect high powered card that fill up your graveyard in this set due to Jump-start and this. I could be wrong, but as I say expect Surveil to be the main way to fuel this strategy, so expect to nickle and dime your way to getting creatures into your graveyard.
I think it's fair to say that it's regular cost would be 6 mana for the stats. So to get the card into play at reduced cost you're going to need at least four creatures in your graveyard.

Delve is also obscenely overpowered, Undergrowth is less outright powerful, however it doesn't quite have the "When I pop this mechanic it becomes useless for a few turns" like Undergrowth has, so you can chain the effects a little more consistently, to be honest I could see dredge having this as a Sideboard card to bring back wasted Bazaars.
golgari will have some sort of in-guild support for undergrowth. what it is and how good it is are the questions. itd be one of the worst mechanic designs ever if it couldnt even function in its own colors.

It is not the first one with these types. That belongs to a certain Time Spiral thallid. Fun thing is that Deathspore Thallid is a Zombie Fungus, whereas this is a Fungus Zombie.
In this case, I think there's a big difference between the way these are arranged. Deathspore Thallid is possibly a fungus that's been reanimated in a zombified form (how that works, I dunno), whereas this looks like something that's kinda got a bit of some sort of Cordyceps-style fungus going on.
Yeah whatever I'm just spitballing over here. Point is that Molderhulk is pretty nice for an uncommon and I'll probably sneak one into my Lord Windgrace deck if I can find a slot for it.

Treasure Cruise costs 8 and is one of the most busted cards printed in the modern era.
The land will be in any multicolored commander deck. The other thing is like most undergrowth - hard to tell.

"Masques Block is the worst block ever! There's not one decent card in there! The whole internet say's so, you're literally the only person who ever said it was good!" - random noob in a conversation with an Eldrazi.
Molderhusk irks me for "I'm only black so I can be a zombie." (Literally both of its abilities have been printed in green before, the goyffinity and the land recursion.) Corpsejack Menace has the same issue. I'll admit this isn't as bad (Simic could've used Corpsejack Menace...) but it still bugs me.
Guildmage's Forum could be good in budget Commander. I could even see Prime Speaker Zegana using it because drawing an extra card for 1 is always good. But once I get beyond two colors in competitive, I should mention that I make a rule to limit nonbasic lands because of Blood Moon and Back to Basics. Basically, unless I'm playing something like Hermit Druid where having any basic lands at all gum up the whole strategy, I restrict my nonbasic lands to half my total mana-producing lands. (And things like Bazaar of Baghdad, Glacial Chasm, and The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale aren't counted as lands...provided you can afford them; Tabarnak! will set you back nearly $3000, so, about the price of a Mac and an iPhone.) When you're looking at 3+ colors, a good portion of those nonbasics will be dedicated to mana fixing.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Molderhulk is boss though, exactly what an uncommon Undergrowth creature should be.
The Forum is a bit … medium for a rare land, but well. It's cases like this where I would rather have an upshifted Narcomoeba.
