I don't know, drawing two cards off of the top when flooded seems like a step in the right direction. Seems odd to give up at that point.
If you topdeck this it's six mana to draw two cards.
Right, but that's how flexible cards work. If you draw it turn 3 it'll ramp you to 5, but if you draw it when you don't need mana you can cash it in for two cards. That flexibility costs extra.

Yes, however I just thought I'd point that out considering all the comparisons to four mana draw two spells in blue. Pointing out that it costs six doesn't mean I think they're bad cards or don't like them. Just that it's not solely four mana for the effect.

Yeah, I'm most likely using this as a mana source if ever put one in a deck. Would only be using the draw two cards ability when in topdeck mode, or have nothing else to do for the turn. Will try testing a single golgari locket in my homebrew BGx.. to help in mana, and also helps grow my goyf when locket is sacced to the yard. The nature of the deck is that games often grind to reach the mid-late game, so the draw two cards of the locket would help in attrition match-ups.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

7 mana for 2 cards
3 to cast
4 to activate
It can't pay mana towards its card draw
I stand corrected.
