Another clue after Infernal Reckoning in M19 that something (colorless) is coming our way this year...
It was already playable with all the Kaladesh artifacts and vehicles, but its fringe regardless.
On this card the part looks EXTREMELY tacked on, and flavor is terrible bad for that too.
This card needed to destroy artifacts, thats what the explosion is supposed to do.
Killing ELDRAZI with that ability is just terrible ...
Anyway, the card will do its work, i really just dislike how they meddle with design and replace seemingly random words to make cards constructed playable , without going BACKWARDS to change the cards flavor to justify that changes.
Quite the suspicious way to write artifact.
Eldrazi confirmed?
Have you considered the opposite? Colored artifacts in our return to New Phyrexia? I mean, they told us the third set on Ravnica will be the showdown with Bolas, so some new villain is going to be on the horizon afterwards.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Could be Eldrazi, could be morph, could be Ugin (since, you know, Ugin wouldn't want to miss his brother's ultimate triumph, or tragic passing, one or t'other), could just be a way to hit Eldrazi in Modern.
Could indicate another colorless theme in the third set.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I always thought Goblin Legionnaire was a bit too good at common. I was also kinda expecting a reprint of it this time around, seemed like a shoe-in. It seems to have been what they started out with, like, it'd be very surprised if this card didn't start out as exactly that. Then they decided to make it an eldrazi hoser, and nerfed it hard by not letting it hit the opponent in the face with the damage. Well, it can nuke Eldrazi, it'll be one of the most sought after cards in the set (not the most expensive, just something everyone'll want a copy or playset of), but eh... It's also uncommon, so no pauper play.
Oh, well, probably will still be in every red commander deck at least. Small abrade which beats face, rather good. Can't stop whining about it not being mono-red Goblin Legionaire, though. If it only had the red part, and no eldrazi-hosing, but was common, it'd see a lot of pauper play, and you wouldn't have to splash white.

"Masques Block is the worst block ever! There's not one decent card in there! The whole internet say's so, you're literally the only person who ever said it was good!" - random noob in a conversation with an Eldrazi.
A lot of people seem to be forgetting about Karn, Scion of Urza. As far as stabdard is concerned, this guy is just calling him out.
This card was probably designed this way for the same reason Infernal Reckoning and Assassin's Trophy exist: to deal with things in Modern. This hits artifacts, Eldrazi, Karn, Ugin, etc. Infernal hits Eldrazi and Affinity. Trophy deals with large threats (i.e. Eldrazi, Karn, etc.) as well as Tron lands.
I don't think this is hinting at anything Eldrazi-related in the near future of standard. This is just WotC being more blunt about their attempts to directly affect modern.
It's good to see R&D realizing what the big threats in standard/modern are and printing more things to actively deal with them. Plus, between this and Infernal Reckoning, I'm pretty sure Ugin is going to be showing up as a beast of a card in later sets. Maybe even Emrakul coming in as Bolas' "if I go down I'm taking you all with me" contingency.
Also, current card environment aside, this is a hell of a good Jund staple.

Cheeseburger, french fries, chocolate shake, somebody's mind I's about to take!
A little late in posting here. Not very strong, but quite versatile card. Get rid of random dangerous things like Ensnaring Bridge, Hollow One, large eldrazi... etc. Currently using a single in a flex slot that is sometimes used by Abrade. Both Abrade and Cratermaker has advantages and disadvantages... what I like about the goblin is he is also another body that I can equip a basilisk collar into.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
