MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I would be surprised if we didn't see a return to Theros in the next few sets after Ravnica. A return to Alara should be coming up soon too, but I suspect WotC isn't sure how to handle that one so it could be a while (after all, it has already been a while).
And thus begins the printing of a bunch of enchantment support to try and make a crap commander not awful.
Worked so well for Inalla who even after Dominaria and Core having lots of wizards sits at a whole 50 cents *cough*
As an enchantress player I have no complaints with the new merfolk commander. (Except that I can't remember exactly how to spell her name). She does exactly what one would expect an enchantress to do, sure they needed her draw ability but it would have been gross if they hadn't.
Much stronger in standard than it looks. If we didn't have Militia bugler I'd say its limited playable.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
The name is a bit strange though. "Sumala" doesn't even sound vaguely slavic.
Domri always sounded more Semitic to me. A lot of the names sound off at times. Hell, even the ads pronounce the c in Ravnica as [k] instead of [ts]. (This extends to the pronunciation of Šimić or Simić, two separate names, and all you need to know is, those little diacritics mean it's palatalized: Pronounced respectively [ʃǐːmitɕ] and [sǐːmitɕ]. Most English speakers I've noticed pronounce it [sǐːmik].)
Keep in mind, this is nothing compared to the linguistic vandalism I've heard from players wrt: Tarkir, Ixalan, and even Portal: Three Kingdoms. (With Portal: Three Kingdoms, everyone pronounces all the c's, q's, and x's incorrectly because they don't know a thing about pinyin. With all the Turkic names in Mardu/Kolaghan and Temur/Atarka, all the Aryan names in Abzan/Dromoka, and...Sultai/Silumgar and Jeskai/Ojutai are actually a mix. As for Ixalan, that x is pronounced [ʃ], the tl is pronounced [tɬ], and the h is...actually silent in a lot of cases. At least they deliberately avoided ejectives, which are common in both Uto-Aztecan and Mayan languages. Vampires...usually have Spanish names, but there are exceptions like Mavren Fein. Going in, I actually thought the pirates' names would all be Ladino or Arabic, given their backstory, but more of them are Italian than Ladino or Arabic, and then you get ones like Malcolm. And yes, you trill the rr in Torrezon.)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

As for Theros, we should be getting a big fat announcement day in the near future if I'm not mistaken. So we'll wait and seeeeee.
