Not so much good for as it rewards you for using her for comvoke. And, if the token sticks around then you can use it for your next comvoke spell. It's almost lost Ke she has "t: make a mana dork" baked in. I get that you get that, but I think you are valuing it lower than other commenters.
I am valuing it lower - because it's a worse card than most people give it credit for and for Convoke alone there are better cards. I'm someone who hyped Night Market Lookout when others thought it bad and I used it a lot with vehicles - so I know how good that trigger can be.
The problem is - vehicles are leaving (EDIT: the good ones that is) and the idea of always having a Convoke every turn is magical christmas land for colours that don't typically draw cards. You are almost always better having some of the saproling generation out of Dom over her unless you need to convoke for W
So I stand by my evaluation. Unless there are other effects that tap creatures as a cost (such as Glare of Subdual which is on-theme for Selesnya) I don't see this card seeing play in Standard. My opinion as always may change when we see more cards, though.
Actually I think she's quite good as a simple beater.
She threats to win the game by herself in a open board, needs to eat removal fast or be answered by a sweeper. All this makes her a very powerful creature vs. control or ramp decks, so she deserve at least some SB consideration in the decks that can play her.
Against decks that will build a board presence early... trading with another 2-drop and leaving a body behind is already good and turns out to be excellent if any of the following sets have any good equipment card. And she does not even necessarily underperforms if your opponent have a 2 drop that blocks her because it's very unlikely for any deck to wish to race against this. Forcing a stall in GW is pretty good outcome if you are facing a fast deck like R/x aggro.
All this ignoring any sort of synergy she might have down the line. So yeah, I think she is pretty good.

Two drops are starting to get 2/3 cards - so you can't even force a trade in the upcoming meta with her. Trust me - I considered that too. 2/2 for 2 is no longer 'good enough' on it's own. And that's on the play. On the draw red has chainwhirler.

I have a feeling we'll see more cards that will change the way she is evaluated - but I think most people are over-evaluating her as far as Standard is concerned (I don't play anything else so I can't speak to anything else)

I don't think she's as good/powerful as all that. She herself can't close out games quickly, as you said. What she does provide, more than anything else, is utility for Convoke/small creature board presence. When compared to cards like Goblin Chainwhirler, Chainwhirler eats her (and the tokens she creates) alive. She's easy to stall on the board, and best believe most decks DO have plenty of fast removal/creatures that easily match her in power/toughness. I wouldn't count on any deck, save control, leaving the board empty for long.
She looks rather frumpy. Not at all the glamorous elf of Dragon's Maze.
Because similar to Radha before her SJW’s/feminists are afraid of fictional characters that look better than they do. So while not as bad as Radha, the SJW/Feminist in WotC couldn’t have Emmara look like the sultry elf she did before. Else the would feel bad about how they can’t compete with the looks of a nonexistent character.

Emmara's original art isn't exactly a Boris Vallejo painting so I don't even know where this venting is coming from. The two depictions are both elf ladies in loose evening gowns. For my money she looks better now in all respects including beauty.
Also also, Battlebond isn't exactly an eternity ago and they reprinted the literally naked Nirkana Revenant so y'all are just bein' silly gooses.
In standard it works with all the convoke cards to come (the new O ring looks promising), but also Song of Freyalise. She could find slots in an elf deck. The issue is that I'm not sure making 1/1 soldiers is enough of a payoff to build around her.

I definately yet expect somethin like a Tap-subtheme, besides Convoke for Selesnya.
It always was kinda Selesnyas thing to tap their members 4 additional costs.
Undoubtly more & more synergizin cards will come out.

I wanna build a decklist for her. I'm looking forward to seeing what other Convoke goodies Selesnya gets this time. Conclave Tribunal seems pretty decent.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

The Emmara, Soul of the Accord art looks like ready to kick some ass in the battlefield, the way she's dressed and holding a staff. The art of Emmara Tandris is is fine, but the art of the new card has more action feel to it.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Song of Freyalise is a reason why this might see play in standard. In fact now that you bring it up I think it almost certainly will. It changes the evaluation from 'simply convoke' where I think that on it's own is not enough.

For Commander, Emmara works great with these tap outlets:
I've always wanted to build a Selesnya "go wide" token deck and maybe I'll be building one soon. Not sure yet if I'd want Emmara as the Commander though since you need these tap-outlests to get her to work. Let's hope there are some more commander-viable "Tap an untapped creature you control"-type activated abilities in this set. Otherwise I think Emmara would do better as one of the 99 in Rhys.
I think this card is absolutely terrible.
It is a 2/2 that dies to everything and leaves a 1/1 that will have no impact whatsoever. The convoke synergy isn't that great and its legendary. This is an absolute dead card after turn 2 and basically worthless t2 anyways. No vehicles worth playing will still be in (at least none as of yet). They would need to make something spectacualr for her to convoke for 2 if she is to be worth anything more than a junk rare.
Actually I think she's quite good as a simple beater.
Two drops are starting to get 2/3 cards - so you can't even force a trade in the upcoming meta with her. Trust me - I considered that too. 2/2 for 2 is no longer 'good enough' on it's own. And that's on the play. On the draw red has chainwhirler.
And I feel like i have to say this every time - that's based on the cards we know which is incredibly small. I have a feeling we'll see more cards that will change the way she is evaluated - but I think most people are over-evaluating her as far as Standard is concerned (I don't play anything else so I can't speak to anything else)

Two drops for 2/3 is starting to become a staple thing in standard but they are not a rule by any means. It's the sort of thing that you will have to deal in one or two match ups at worst and possibly in none. Right now there isn't a widely played 2 drop that would block and not trade her, for example.
On the draw she actually fares well vs. chainwhirler if the red player plays the GCW on turn 3. You will likely lose 1 token but the fact Emmara outraces GCW while costing less mana means the red player will not swing into Emmara, everything else constant. A 2-drop that may stagger the board vs. red's best 3 drop is already in the realm of playability.
I admit GCW eating her soldier army later on really makes things harder for her and possibly cast her out of playability if GW doesn't have the tools to deal with this.
If she doesn't see a lot of play, it's because the color pair lack other stuff as good as her to justify the deck.
Or any Crew 2 or less vehicle - Aether Harvester? You are allowed to activate crew after it's already a creature.
Most of the vehicles will leave when Guilds rotates into standard. We'll only have the few from Rivals which are garbage.
I wasn't referring to Standard either, obviously. Though it will be an important point for Standard and Brawl.

Classic EDH as well. The bare minimum to go infinite is Intruder Alarm, and (I don't know, or particularly care; it just has to be a free tapper.) Cryptolith Rite. Or you can use Ashnod's Altar (or Phyrexian Altar) and Thornbite Staff to just stick to Selesnya colors.
Barring infinite shenanigans, she's Verdant Force #3 with Seedborn Muse. (Especially since Verdant Force is now Verdant Force #2, thanks to Tendershoot Dryad.)
