MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Redemption for Emmara! Woot. Great creature to convoke with.

How good would Unified Will Variant be if it said counter if you control less creatures then your foe...call it Supreme Will or something. Since rarely as the Blue Player are you pumping out more creatures then your foe.
A Unified Will variant that countered if you control fewer creatures would function as a two-mana hard counter in just about every creatureless control deck, so it's safe to say that it would be too good. It can be challenging to control more creatures than an opponent, which is where the payoff from Unified Will comes from, but it's easy to control fewer since you can just, y'know, not run any creatures.
If this hypothetical card didn't work if you were tied for the fewest, though, then it would be a lot worse.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
What's up with cheap black removal spells and the person being killed in the artwork looking derpy? Tragic Slip already looked kinda comical, then Fatal Push and now Necrotic Wound...
Seb McKinnon's card sticks out as usual. Emmara looks cool too, already loving the foggy autumn atmosphere.
Were they really so proud of the Theros School of Card Design of "pick apre-existing cardand stickScry 1to it" that they had to do it again? Ugh, things are already not looking very bright for House Dimir.
Challenging sure but also pretty worthless since you know most control decks don't have much in terms of creatures.
I was talking about Unified Will in the context of a creature-heavy deck (like Merfolk) vs. anti-Unified Will in the context of a creature-light deck (like almost every Draw-Go deck ever).

I like that the Dimir are actually trying to combat Bolas,
rather than becoming the first under his sway.
They will no doubt play the "oh no, the Dimir were controlled all allong without even Lazav's knowledge!" Card to showcase what a master manipulator Bolas is.
