Ravenous Slime2G Creature — Ooze {R}
Ravenous Slime can't be blocked by creatures with power 2 or less.
If a creature an opponent controls would die, instead exile it and put a number of +1/+1 counters equal to that creature's power on Ravenous Slime. Death eventually wiggles toward us all.

Triggers on sacrifices, triggers on destroys, triggers on combat deaths. Plus they can't reanimate them later. And it can't be chump blocked. Pretty nice card.
Seriously, though, graveyard shenanigans are quite overpowered without a way to interact with them. There needs to be sufficient ample hate around to deal with it.

My issue is that GY-tactics in itself are very complicated, require synergy and such.
But anti-GY cards seem to be too powerful, often don't even have a REAL downside.. Just look at this card! Why wouldn't you play it?
The result is that the answer to graveyard decks are much easier than the graveyard-decks itself.
And do you know who hurts that the most? People that aren't going full-out with their decks, the players that aren't combo'ing some reanimation.

Graveyard hate isn't generally a strategy to win, though. There aren't decks devoted to graveyard hate. The decks that do run it do it incidentally or as a safety precaution because of how degenerate reanimator decks get.
I will definitely concede that these types of cards hurt decks that use the graveyard as a secondary effect, which kind of dampens their fun, but doesn't make the games unwinnable.
The problem is Graveyard decks are not common enough to maindeck your hate unless it has bonus features like our favorite 1 Mana Walker. But they are extremely powerful because they are the best at cheating cost.
Seems fine, but it's reliant on the other guys' side of the board to do anything and he doesn't advance your side in any sense other than being a situationally large body.
I mean, unless you're just really getting sick of Gaddock Teeg getting beat up by Meren of Clan Nel Toth reanimates, I don't see this guy going in often over value 3-drops or beaters whose size you can control.
Inferior to Scavenging Ooze as gravehate for sure. Ooze does cost G more for each creature dying and grows way less, but is infinitely more useful when it comes to removing cards already in the graveyard and noncreature cards.
You'll really need something to utilize the P/T of this Slime (like Jarad) to even barely justify it over Ooze, or even as the #2 redundancy for Ooze (like I said it doesn't do the exact same job to qualify as #2 actually...)

I love that Wizards is going back to the more tongue-in-cheek flavor text!
Right after they banned Deathrite Shaman in Legacy.

It will be much less intimidating as one of 99 cards that can be easily removed.
Reprint Stasis!
Control needs more love.
