The only thing I'll complain about is that we just got Breya two years ago. Do we really need a third artifact centered commander precon?

UR Artifact has been in high demand. I just hope they are more creative then Jhoira Weatherlight Captain which is good sure but also boring.
I agree doesn't make sense to me either classic Standardized Test Question. Which of these is not like the others Lands, Enchantments, Artifacts and Top of Deck Matters?
I am mainly sadden that they did not add more to the wedge colors.
No love to Sultai, Temur, Jeskai and Mardu. I will probably just buy all of them, either to improve my other decks I have. The UR artifacts will help my mishra eggs-like deck.
Only one (maybe two if you count the creepy child) of the official pieces of art seems to be in the normal planeswalker orientation, which is probably the Esper looking lady with the blue faces.
Also, I will always be on the Serra fan club train, and I'm holding out for a card in the enchantment deck, mainly because Serra's Sanctum tapped to add mana for enchantments you controlled, and a lot of the Serra type cards from Urza block cared about enchantments, which means that might be her sub theme possibly besides Angels.
UR Artifacts
Players have been clamoring for this for some time. I don't see how it could upstage Breya, but I'm looking forward to some new additions and hopefully a Darksteel Forge reprint to boot. None of the art jumps out as being from this deck. Jund Lands
I always wanted a land matters deck and hopefully this will be a good jumping off point. It makes some recent reprints (Crucible of Worlds and Scapeshift even more welcome and makes a lot of the land matters cards recently make more sense. I can see some of the past generals for this deck coming back such as The Gitrog Monster, Omnath, Locus of Rage and Titania, Protector of Argoth. I hope (given the recently increased price tag) that there are some saucy lands in here. The recursion spell/zombie, the spider and creepy dead kid are likely from here. Bant Enchantments
This explains the Satyr in M19. If there are any pillowfort goodies, Oloro will be on the lookout. The knight might be from here and I expect that the theros card is. Esper Top of Deck
This could be fun, but seems like it could slide (as other users have mentioned) into being either too strong or bad. The planeswalker looking woman is likely from here.

Theros girl could be everything - Selesnya, Azorius or Bant. I'm tending towards Bant though. Crops are usually white, but they can be white-green too (Reap What Is Sown) and she looks a bit too "rustic" to be Azorius imo.
My guesses what the cards will do:
Zombie - comes back from grave (boring)
Theros girl - some "growth" related thing whenever you play an enchantment. Ramp, +1/+1 counters or lifegain.
Creepy moth girl - from the Esper deck, mono B or BW. Lifegain/loss based on top card CMC.
Spider - Kills things and grows (boring)
Knight lady - Mono R, does something with equipments. From the artifavt deck.
Mask lady - Becomes copy of the top card of a library.

But there's an awful lot of Blue in Theros Lady art. I suppose she could be Bant. I'm going to stick with Azorius for her, which I hope she is.

I could see the Esper deck focusing on a card type in addition to the top of library theme. Instants/Sorceries or creatures could both work.
Riku of Two Reflections - Copy, then copy again | Shattergang Brothers - Token Sac&Recur | Gahiji, Honored One - Multiple attack steps | Karametra, God of Harvests - Landfall, Creaturefall, Shroud | Ruhan of the Fomori - Stop hitting yourself | Zurgo Helmsmasher - Equipment&Wraths | Crosis, the Purger - Dragon Tribal Reanimator | Derevi, Empyrial Tactician - No stax, just tap and untap fun | Anafenza, the Foremost - Enduring Ideal Enchantress | Sharuum, the Hegemon - Sphinx Tribal Control | Noyan Dar - Spellslinger | The Mimeoplasm - Counterpalooza
Lists can be found here.
Still convinced the guy on Beseech the Queen is wearing a Mitra-type hat. Wake up sheeple!
New card: Maybe an enchantment version of Thran Quarry and Glimmervoid? Tying it to Theros creatively would make sense. Temple of Nyx?
Subjective Reality will be an interesting one. I think the reason they did this is because an Instant/Sorcery themed deck would pretty much have to be UR, and they just did the UBR Wizard deck last year. Thus, they gave artifacts to UR and let WUB do something besides artifacts for a change.
Crucius could still appear in Subjective Reality, since top card matters has artifact applications as well. He could do something like "reveal top card of your library. If it's an artifact or creature card, put it onto the battlefield. Put an etherium counter on it if it's a creature and it becomes an artifact in addition to its other types" or gives you an emblem that says "Creatures you control are artifacts in addition to their other types."
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I think the deck themes are interesting.
What I find more surprising is just how off base most of us seemed to be in terms of colors, themes snd planeswalkers.
Granted we havent seen much yet but seemingly we were all way off in our hopes dreams and predictions.
We shall see next week right?

Been a member here for over a dozen years. Playing since '95 just got lost in the twitch shuffle.
Eh nothing really catching my eyes as of now. Although my freshly build Jund Dragons commander deck may get some new toys to play with. Shame my red/blue wizard deck is a brawl deck right now....can’t really use the Izzet commander (even so it doesn’t use artifacts and uses instants and soceries so really wouldn’t fit).
Also that spider to me is DEFINITELY jund. The name says it all NATURE’s Vengance. The others I really don’t know.
None of these artworks seem at all like Izzet or Artifact related. Just saying
I could see the armored lady on the horse being a red Warrior with an Equipment focus. Maybe a Legend?
Crazy idea, but maybe the Spider creates tokens whenever a land card is put into your graveyard from anywhere? The Spider could also gain +1/+1 counters which in turn can be spent to create Spider tokens. And since it's likely a big, scary Jund Spider, maybe it gives your Spiders menace and haste?

Avenger of Zendikar but instead it makes 1/2 reach spiders and landfalls to make more spiders?
Banty chanty? I'll buy that, unless they seriously muck it up.
So Esper is going to be library manipulation? Hopefully Sensei's Divining Top get's a reprint in that.
Jund's deck sounds odd, especially when two of the three colors in Jund are, or rather were, land destruction colors.
Man, this announcement was not the morning gut punch I wanted.
I'm holding on to Aysen Abbey, a Serra related card that would point to her supporting Bant colours (if they're gonna use Homelands Serra, as evidenced by the Gideon SDCC card art) and the fact that Serra's Sanctum was heavily enchantment reliant for the hope that Serra would still get a card.
Else, I'd be totally floored the bad way if the Bant PW face card ends up as a new character.... not another C14 case.
One week to go...

A bit too much like Froggy Monster, Gitrog Draws you things when you bin Lands, Ommnath gets you creatures when you play lands. I bet this has an engine in it, like "Sac a land make a 1/2 spider token with reach." and "1G:Sacrifice a spider : search your deck for a basic land card and put that card into play tapped."
Did you know the same set contains Castle SengirandBaron Sengir? Those lands produce three colors not following the logic you suppose.
Yeah, it sucks that the Sengir didn't show any delving of that colour when they appeared.
But my logic holds a bit of weight because (a) Serra herself has only said that she does not like working with Black mana. Putting her in a deck with black mana goes against her flavour (b) She helped with the beings that are across that colour range in the Homelands (The folk of An-Havva with Green, the Wizards via Feroz for Blue).
