I kinda wished one of the arts was one of a well known character. because as it stands, these pictures are intirelly pointless, showed some randoma rt and....what information did we get from it?
Anyways isn't something really worth *****ing about, we got the themes and they did say it was only this amount of information we were getting so i don't mind as mutch. Really is sutch a minor thing to complain about
The issues was waiting for them talking endlesslly about ***** most din't cared and showing random pictures that gave no information what so ever.
When I look at that spider image, I keep thinking Dragonlair Spider is going to get reprinted.
I feel like even if that spider art is a legend... they will still reprint Dragonlair Spider.
Also I wonder what Planeswalker will be the head of the Bant deck. With an Enchantment theme it almost feels perfect for Serra but so others have said it's weird to put her as anything other than mono white.

Not really, her home after she left Serra's Realm (Aysen Abbey on Ulgrotha) was pretty Bant aligned in color.

Before we get to a Planeswalker-packed showdown on Ravnica and the return of Planeswalkers Commanders in Commander 2018, I’d like to catch you all up on 25 years worth of Planeswalkers.

I don't think you cannot do a BANT Serra it just be weird to do a BANT Serra before ever doing a Mono White Serra.

I humbly disagree, as she was introduced as a planeswalker during the Homelands story, before that she was just the name of an Angel and a religion. It's hardly WoTC's fault that people most remember her from her realm in Urza block. And she's always been pretty enchantment focused. And her husband Feroz is probably a shoe in for the artifact deck, even though his wizards' school is Esper aligned, he made a lot of artifacts/artifact creatures, and summoned elementals regularly, heck, he is most famous for an artifact that was used in control decks (Feroz's Ban).

I am not sure what your point is.
Either way Serra is most strongly associated with White hence the connection to Angels and Religion. Even if yes she could use other colors.
Now I agree in the old days before Walkers became a card type, Oldwalkers were far less tied to a particular color identity then characters are now. Whereas now you be unlikely to see a Walker show up on a color they are not as the focus, back in the day it wasn't strictly defined as the link between Color of Mana and Personality was less.
Still there is no doubt in the minds of most fans, Serra is not just White, she is the Iconic White Oldwalker. That is not WOTC fault necessarily but they should not be blind to those expectations. But personally I want Serra so BANT or White I will be happy.
Yes well these new decks are suppose to be stronger so it will be interesting if they stop weakening decks by splitting them in conflicting directions.
"Strong" in Magic is...complicated, though. Cards like Chronatog don't really look that good, but have synergies that make them a lot better than they look. And in Commander, even more so.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Sure but there are some basics card advantage, color fixing, win cons, lower curves, interaction, etc. But you do run into some issues such as some colors and color combos are simply better especially in the Format...UG vs RW for instance.
My point was no conflicting synergies where a certain number of cards is put in the deck to support an alternate commander that conflicts with the face commander of a deck.
Now it will be interesting to see if they can make Walkers Strong. I am especially interested in the UR Artifact Deck cause Artifacts tend to be easily broken across all Formats in magic.
Or maybe we will just get mono-white Serra who isn't a commander for the deck. Last year we got Taigam for example.

We'll be bringing you some fruit in a couple days.
Here are some bananas.
It's reasonable to think that two statements that could be simultaneously true coming from the same company are in fact related. That said, I'm not too broken up about it. We'll be seeing new cards pretty soon anyway. This also doesn't mean we won't still be getting oranges.
Drag 'em. Another reasonable voice, as everyone continues to debate their expectations.

My point is, as a planeswalker she was associated with Bant colors in her introduction as a planeswalker in Homelands, making her a possible planeswalker face for the Bant deck. She has also, in modern times, given her name to at least one blue card (Serra Sphinx). She is a possibility for the Bant deck, regardless of what people think of her today, as that was what she was introduce as. Among her servants in Ulgrotha there are the Beast Walkers (who utilize green mana), abd the Daughters of Autumn (green creatures, and the daughters of the Autumn Willow). Just because her later depiction in Urza's Saga was mono-white, it doesn't mean that she was.
As I said, *if* we get Serra, she would be Bant colors, and it would make sense, both color wise and with the theme of the deck.
As for the other decks, Windgrace is a shoe-in for the Jund deck. His final appearance was very land focused, melding with the lands of Urborg. And since we got new art of him, we can be certain that he will make an appearance.
And, as I mentioned, Feroz would make sense for the artifact deck. But we may end up with a new Saheeli instead, and personally, I wouldn't mind that at all.
Finally, for the Esper deck, I suspect we may be getting an entirely new planeswalker. Of the ones we know, none of them are both Esper in color and prone to reality altering magic.

How are you people still going at this? You are making a seriously wrong assumption in your arguments - that the first two events are related (they are clearly not). Person A talks oranges, person B promises you fruit. These events happen independently, in different contexts, only linked by the fact that the speakers share a workplace (but might be working on two very different projects at the time of uttering the statements - one procuring oranges, other bananas). Clearly, when person B brings you fruit, it's going to be bananas. He might not even know that you were discussing oranges with person A.
Not to be totally irrelevant, what about Tawnos for the artifact deck? I have always seen him as a rather unique URG artificer, but he might fit and is about as well-known as Feroz.
I am still hoping for Tevesh Szat as a sub-commander in the Esper deck, but I don't really like my chances.

standard: BUG The Baron (it doesn't work, but I try anyway)
I wonder who might end up being the Izzet commander for an artifact deck. And the only result I can come up with is Daretti going the Mizzix route
How is that the only one? The obvious one to me is Saheeli Rai enlight of her poster art being on Kaladesh and not Ravnica plus we did check in on her at the end of Ixalan. Daretti got a deck last time and in terms of popularity I don't see why you bring him back over any of his fellows from C14 and his second color is Black not Blue. But also you got Dack Fayden and Ral Zarek who both can interact with artifacts. Ral is getting a new card in Ravnica for sure so he is unlikely. I rate it Saheeli > Dack > Daretti.
Anybody knows when the spoilers will finally begin?
I had read it would be this week, but so far nothing has been revealed...
People keep saying next week. Unless that was revealed on the stream the 30th(the week after next) seems the most in time with the past. Small product like this getting one week of previews is the norm.
everybody good? Heavy white primary, but Bant colors
Nah you'd want it to be it to be (W/U)(W/U)(W/G)(W/G) so she could still lead a hypothetical mono white deck but still also qualify as Bant.
And apparently also Simic, Selesnya, and Azorius? Though a 3(G/W)(W/U)Serra Angel could be pretty cool. So, you have (G/W)(W/U) or (G/U)W as options for Bant besides GWU. W⋃(G⋂U) would be expressed as W(G/U), while (W⋂U)⋃(G⋂W) would be expressed as (G/W)(W/U) (At least, W-centered examples. Flip around the colors as needed.)

Because the way this whole Commander season was handled. What we learned waiting an hour into a last minute M19 stream for three minutes of C18 was information we traditionally have on Announcement Day. Two Announcement Days didn't even bother. That's the reason everyone was hanging on to hints. The whole thing was just a string of feel-bad moments. Not our fault leaks happened last year.
