I'm certain this card was better at some point in development. They then realized that black may get a playable creature and freaked out. So they added the corpse counter and exile clause.
from an edh standpoint i think she blows pretty hard.
any creature i would abuse gets a single shot. most times she runs right into something that kills her. there's better monoblack legends and enough other forms of reanimation.
i guess she might be standard playable? brawl is a crap format where she'll do nothing
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Wow... that is clunky. That's the nicest thing I can say about this mechanic. I'm hoping there's another, unreleased, card that cares about a "corpse counter". Maybe in Ravnica?
This kind of counter is just a tool to help you remember this creature was reanimated by Isareth and thus, if it would leave the battlefield, it is exiled instead of going to the original zone.
