What do you know, a second Unbroken ult except there will be a card that will let you tutor this one up. It better be called Sarkhan's Triumphant Triumph. Pretty garbage without Doubling Season though. I guess it's something considering how Wizards of the Coast seems to really want people to regret getting the Draconic Domination precon.
the Welp is so cute, interesting that Sarkhan has the same ult as unbroken.
That is interesting. I actually like it. Most of the time the ult never happens so why not have multiple versions that have the same ult. The gameplay is way different between the two Sarkhan anyway. I think doing this every now and then with some of the more flavorful ults (Liliana Vess) would actually be a good thing.
Damn these are dull. I understand they're a fixed card, and that they can't be pushed too much, but do they have to be so boring? 6 abilities, and hardly a creative spark among them.

Ajani's +2 isn't that bad, but it's not enough to make up for how bad the rest of the card is. I mean, if tokens were viable in Standard (i.e. Chainwhirler weren't running rampant), this card could certainly find a place in the sideboard against burn/aggro. The lifegain from the +2 would be enough in most cases to just make the game unwinnable for your opponent.
I like that all the "Walker-matters" cards this time around are based around the PW type, rather than just the PW deck walker card. Feels like they have dialed this product in a bit better and it's a tiny bit closer to playable.

I think there is no room in the number crunch. There is only one land slot left.
Yep, I know. Figured it out a while back.
Trying to get Modern border Tron lands out of Wizards is like waiting to send a human to Mars.

We are not getting Tron Lands in a standard legal set any time soon...we went to Dominaria and got shafted maybe New Phyrexia but beyond those two planes I don't see any standard legal set giving tron lands.
Honestly, I gotta say for a walker who has been mia for awhile Sarkhan looks pretty consistent to his previous apperances. If only WOTC could show such consistency with other characters...

I think you could argue that being MiA for a while helps with the consistency. The constantly featured protegonists get "re-invented" and touched upon more often and given to more artists with less opportunity for a look to settle in. And Sarkhan sure looks different between portrayals at times e. g. some sell the east-asian/Mongolian features more than other.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
I'd get a copy of Sarkhan for the art (shirtless Sarkhan, ooh-la-la), but both of the walkers are pretty bad. Ajani is marginally better, but his ult being based on your life total makes me sigh, and the fact that it only affects a single creature? SMH.
Whoa, is that Sarkhan or the Prophet Zarathustra? That's some phenomenal art.
Well, they're clearly going for another "extremely simplified version of Zoroastrianism" (this trope exists everywhere in pop fantasy: two extremely powerful incomprehensible entities, one good, one evil) with the relationship between Ugin and Nicol Bolas. I guess it's weird because I always saw Ugin (and Sorin, for that matter) as simply maintaining an ecological balance, not a pole on said balance.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Sarkhan's Whelp seems fun and Court Cleric could be useful if you have a cheap Ajani (Ajani, Caller of the Pride).

It kinda seems like they just put two Chandra abilities on a Sarkhan ult there, but oh well.
