Now they need a card depicting a giant Angel squeezing a Demon in her hand.
So, instead of Rock-Paper-Scissors, it's Demon-Angel-Eldrazi.
Yup. Tentacle monster beats sexy lady, sexy lady beats horny guy, and horny guy beats tentacle monster. C:

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
It probably won't be playable in draft but core sets aren't all that fun to draft in the first place. I'm fine with it being here. It's good sideboard tech in Modern and I'll take Modern playables anywhere I can get them (especially answers).
This does hit artifact creatures and morphs as well. Okay we probably won't have morphs, but still...
If black is supposed to have the best removal, then 'splain Reality Shift? Blue's supposed to have the worst removal.
I don't even think reality shift was played in the standard it was in. I never recall it making a big splash at least. People in places like edhg love to complain about blue removal but I think they underestimate giving your opponent a 2/2 (that might be something better) or 3/3 token for free.
Just because WOTC pretends Standard is the only format doesn't mean you can.
In EDH, a 2/2 or a 3/3 is nothing. Even that 2/2, unless you blink it, it's possible you're not going to get its full potential, like if it has an enters trigger, or if it's one of those 0/0s that use +1/+1 counters for something (like Spike Weaver), or if it's an artifact, enchantment, land, or planeswalker.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
This makes me ask so many questions that the only thing I can really say to it is "why"?
I think my biggest question is why it's black. Like, I get that black can exile stuff, but...
A) White is traditionally a hoser color
B) White traditionally runs these one mana exile effects
C) White could also actually use the help to be more of a solid Modern color.
but maybe I'm thinking about it too much.
A) No color should be a hoser color. All colors should hose stuff from time to time.
B) It's creature hate. You can't be serious about it not being a fit in black.
C) I agree with this but this would only keeps building the strange 'hoser color' identity white has in modern. It would make white stronger but in the area where it is already strong to a fault. I think white needs a different kind of strong card.
White is about BALANCE - You lose a creature, you gain some life; you lose a creature, you gain a land; or, in combat - You lose a creature, but that's because you chose violence over pacifism! Black is about selfishness and individualism - you lose a creature, I gain some life! And this is SO situational! Yes, eldrazi run rampant, as do vehicles and artifact creatures, but this is so far from an auto-include removal card. Doomblade 2.0 it ain't!
Welp, Maro confirmed that this is not an answer to anything in standard, now or in the future. So I guess we don't have to worry about another colorless meta.
This was pretty much done to give black a focused answer to Eldrazi and Vehicles in Modern. Although, it can be backbreaking in tandem with Ghostflame Sliver...

So this card is unique but SB mostly after it does its job of detroning tron. Also i like to think that the name is a pun telling eldrazy and tron to go to hell.
This would've been the answer to Copter we needed instead of banning it.
Wonky inclusion in this set as it doesn't really fit in Standard at the moment, save for some freak incident that causes things like Metallic Mimic to go off or if vehicles and Eldrazi take off in Modern. I highly doubt Ravnica III and IV will have a colourless theme. Maybe the unnamed Ravnica set might but still not a guarantee.

Thinking on this, I'd probably would have wanted this costing 2 and being able to destroy colorless non-land permanents. If wizards wants to make colorless walkers that work in any color, there needs to be an answer to stop them that isn't insanely narrow.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Thinking on this, I'd probably would have wanted this costing 2 and being able to destroy colorless non-land permanents. If wizards wants to make colorless walkers that work in any color, there needs to be an answer to stop them that isn't insanely narrow.
Except black doesn't destroy artifacts or enchantments. Colorless creature or planeswalker, maybe, but they wanted this to be pushed for Modern and it's starting to sound like Wizards really wants black to have a means of dethroning swords to plowshares and path of exile as the preeminent removal spells. White is meant to be bad at removal, not king of it.
Now, this isn't swords or path so it's not quite there, but at 1 mana if the goal is to exile colorless creatures at the very least the temptation to splash white just to get removal is removed for that case.
It is definitely a modern card. It might be overkill to hit walkers, but I do like the idea of removing a karn.

Why is white supposed to be bad at removal?
MaRo has said so in his Color Pie segments a number of times. White can destroy things, but it should either have conditions (target attacking or blocking creature, or the like) or it should be temporary (Oblivion Ring or other prison effects). The color pie is also why red should never destroy enchantments outside of warp world level "random" effects or why green shouldn't get creatures with first strike. The color pie can be bent or even broken at times, but it is meant to be regarded highly as the standard for what colors can and/or cant do, and how well they can do them (green can have haste, but only rarely).
By clearly defining strengths and weaknesses for each color the game becomes much less likely to have any single color be the dominant color for all formats for all time. (Also probably a reason to add things like this card for colorless hate, since colorless is getting close to needing it's own slice of the color pie)
Written from my phone: will update with better examples/links when I get home.

I don't understand why some want this to be white. It could, but it's clear that no 1 cmc white instant is gonna surpass Path to Exile in a very long time. So what's the point?
It's also clear that Wizards are making white removal more "retribution" style. You hit me I hit you back which feels more in flavor. Or prison style enchantments.
Black is the king of creature removal. Whether it's motive-driven or a lack of reason. History has also shown that black has prejudice removal, your Doom Blade, Terror, GftT, Fatal Push, and now Infernal Judgment.
The life gain is probably to supplement the narrowness of the spell. Which I guess makes it rare since the targets are almost always huge. Which could swing games in constructed.
A one mana instant black removal spell that's all upside. Sure, it's extremely narrow on what it can hit, but still, this seems a little bit broken.

But the art is awesome!
It's more that white's creature removal is supposed to be A) situational, generally in response to aggression; or B) able to be undone, like with jailing creatures and enchantments.
