''BBBUT DRAFT!" :laugh2::laugh2: Looking forward for justification ny WotC staff after the set is released.
It's going to be something along the lines of "the original card is very old, also it's some sort of card advantage in white and that's really rare nowadays"
Well, at least they reprinted it at all I guess...
Game Plan has the first nonland art in the set that I actually like. The new Tidespout Tyrant looks pretty cool too.
The value of the cards is much similar. However, A25 is $10/pack, this is $4/pack. This is a much better set overall for value, and we're getting some cool new cards as well. Masters sets shouldn't have such a ridiculous price tag if they aren't going to put in the value. And with a set like this, even if you get a bulk rare, if you get a $1 uncommon, it makes the pack's value a lot less crap. The same things were said about the Conspiracy sets, and it still holds true here. I honestly didn't think they'd have so many good reprints here, though.
Stolen Strategy looks really fun but it'll take work to get real value out of it, and by "work," I mean lots of mana. Good thing Neheb, the Eternal exists and can pump out 5-30 mana a turn in the right build. Decks with Red that can consistently make globs of mana should run Stolen Strategy, but otherwise, it won't be very useful.
Given the general game plan of "if it's worth more than $20 it's mythic now", I am sorta surprised to see Diabolic Intent at "just" rare. And we go another set without a Demonic Tutor reprint. At this point I think almost every tutor except the original has seen a reprint, so we've gotta be getting close right?
Stolen Strategy seems funny since it's chaotic and will super tilt everyone, although it's probably just a smidgen too expensive to be truly excellent. Still worth consideration in some mono-red or R/x lists that struggle with card advantage but can crank out mana (like Neheb, the Eternal, Rakdos, Lord of Riots, and Grand Warlord Radha.
Game Plan is probably playable in most Wheel of Pain commanders even if no one will collude with you, and is of course super great in a team foramt.

In some decks, I actually prefer Diabolic Intent as a sac outlet.
And I absolutely agree with you on Land Tax - I'm amazed they're reprinting it but not at all surprised it's mythic. It's an insane one-drop that tends to slow the game a little due to repeat tutoring and give a powerful effect so you don't miss a land drop.
Land Tax with that art... Alright, Im making Mono-White Angels EDH. And this one doesn't have to be foil! So excited. I can't stand foils which is why I never bought the promo to get this art.

Demonic was reprinted in Angels vs. Demons twice (and as a Judge promo, but that barely counts).

Level 1 Judge
"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

Fair. I meant in a booster set, as we've seen several Masters sets go by and give us Vampiric, Diabolic Tutor, and this instead.

Diabolic Intent about bloody time. Those are over $30 around here, it's crazy.
Land Tax with judge art =, foil version of Vet Explorer and so on also amazing.
This set is doing very well for itself, glad I'll be playing it.

It's not demonic tutor but it will do for a budget option of it.
land tax holy cow these reprints are insane
OFCOARSE ITS UPGRADED TO MYTHIC ITS THE DRAFT ENVIROMENT ONE DROP
And Tidespout tyrant easier for Animar players to get now

Also killing the mono-white/mono-green player's enchantments with their own enchantment removal will just make my monored playing heart sing.
Game Plan does win for boss art though.

This is one of those card that's only exspensive due to the small amount of them out there
The timing was perfect it got a pretty big price jump around return to dominaria
And this is in a set that will be printed as much as any old standard set
