I don't get why planeswalker didn't get new card frame. They are legends too.
The new frame it to help delineate Legendary cards from non-legendaries of the same type to make sure interactions and triggers aren't missed during gameplay. Planeswalkers already have a unique frame and there are no non-legendary planeswalkers.
Well I called Daretti and Atraxa, especially the later as it will practically sell this product on its own. Seeing Kalemne as on of the decks irks me to no end, seeing as it was the worst of that years decks, easily. Daretti is a great inclusion and I think the best of that years decks, plus one of my personal favorite commanders.

Because planeswalkers already had a special frame that made them stand out.

Im not sure how much these cost, and the Kalemne deck was a surprise to see, but looking at the deck list, fiery confluence, blade of selves, and thought vessel currently cost probably what the MSRP will be.

Dont even try to put any "reason" to the freaking frame on legendary creatures.
They completely lost any sense of what a frame should do and slap a new frame on literally anything they can, to a point its just obfuscating the game more and more , for simply no reason at all (i mean seriously, legendary have a big fat text-line of LEGENDARY that is much more present and highlighted than the frame of the card to distinguish cards).

Just to be nitpicky, the frame isn't just on legendary creatures. It's on all non-planeswalker legendary cards henceforth.
Also, the word "legendary" isn't that big. There are even people who don't realize or forget that certain cards are legendary at first, but with this frame, you can readily tell the card is legendary just by glancing at it.
That said, I don't think the reasoning justifies including the Kalemne deck as representative of that year's cycles. :/ Sometimes sticking to a rubric just ain't worth it.

Kalemne is an odd choice... pretty sure that was the least popular deck that year. I guess it has some sweet reprints that are good to have in EDH collections (Blade of Selves and Urza's Incubator come to mind). Other than that, the choices make sense. I still might be dissuaded by the MSRP on this (and that I have one of the decks and the bulk of another, but that is no fault of the product), but for those who want to drop over 100 on this kind of thing, it doesn't look too bad.

Probably the compromise for reprinting Atraxia, between value and color symmetry.
I don't get why planeswalker didn't get new card frame. They are legends too.
From MaRo: Why was it decided that Planeswalkers don't get the special frame for Legendary cards? I know they're already distinctive enough so they don't really "need" it, but it feels a bit inconsistent to me.
Basically it didn’t need it (planeswalker frames are very distinct) and it didn’t fit well with the needs of the frame.
It has easily the best value of every deck here, and more than the two non-Atraxa ones COMBINED.
Fiery Conflunce is currently $28
Magus of the Wheel is $7
Blade of Selves is $14
Thought Vessel is $8
Command Beacon is $26
Eldrazi Monument is $5.50
Lightning Graves is $4
Urza's Incubator is $18
So, no, they actually chose wisely for reprint value.

"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
That said, I don't think the reasoning justifies including the Kalemne deck as representative of that year's cycles. :/ Sometimes sticking to a rubric just ain't worth it.
You mean other than the near $140 worth of Kalemne, including nearly 100 in just eight cards?

Consider Atraxa's current price, the reprint is quite welcomed, though she's already way more popular than any other commander...
