This also works really well with all the 0-CMC pacts. Just don't pay and ignore the losing the game part. Final Fortune becomes a straight up red Time Walk.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Wow, it's like these two cards were made for each other
Lich's Mastery + Immortal Coil
So you don't take damage and therefore never have to sac/discard/exile when you would take damage. And exiling cards from the graveyard is part of the effect and preventing damage isn't actually dependent on there being cards in the graveyard. And you don't lose from having no cards in the graveyard.
Yes, but this combo also prevents you from exploiting one of Lich's Mastery's best parts: drawing cards when you gain life.
Rules question: Can you still "lose life" when you are already at 0 life? If not, wouldn't that imply that getting to 0 life means no more discarding/saccing/exiling from life loss?

While I don't have the exact rule, I'm certain that you can go below zero. Besides, Wizards does know the rule, and they would not print this card if it were not so.
Edit: Also, Phyrexian Unlife stops damage at some point, making only life loss a problem.
It doesn't stop damage, it just means that when you're at 0 life (and you can't lose the game for having 0 life), all damage gives you poison counters instead of life loss.
Commander, of course, makes this card worthless, just because:
Or, just, you know, a bunch of damage to the dome. Abzan colors all have ways to exile cards in graveyards, and even without that, classic Tormod's Crypt is an option. (And you really should have graveyard hate in Commander.)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
In two colors, one of which is the best at mana fixing? It's actually quite possible. Zuran Orb is better, though.
Also, why is this being necro'd? Mods?

Commander, of course, makes this card worthless, just because:
1) Every white deck I own runs Austere Command. You can also run Cleanse or Hour of Revelation if you prefer, or just plain Akroma's Vengeance. If you're in white/blue, you have Worldpurge.
2) Cyclonic Rift, Kederekt Leviathan, Wash Out, Upheaval, Devastation Tide, and River's Rebuke all exist. Not to be left out, green has Bane of Progress, Tranquil Grove, and Calming Verse. (I really want to use Reverent Silence: "Well, the good news is, you can draw six cards.") You won't use all of them in every deck, but you will use some.
3) Decks without green or white tend to run All Is Dust and Nevinyrral's Disk as insurance against enchantments.
Or, just, you know, a bunch of damage to the dome. Abzan colors all have ways to exile cards in graveyards, and even without that, classic Tormod's Crypt is an option. (And you really should have graveyard hate in Commander.)
On phasing:
But, yeah, good luck casting Lich without Urborg.
There's always Angel's Grace and Stunning Reversal to turn that loss trigger around.
