Has there ever been an Endless Obedience effect for planeswalkers from any graveyard? In any event, the extra price necessary to cast this spell is not only trivial but worth it.
Thou shalt not have others of the same Legendary before me Thou shalt not frame images with the modern card face Thou shalt not change rules in vain Remember the Reserved List to keep it holy Honor thy Slivers and the symmetry of their abilities Thou shalt not kill mana burn Thou shalt not sacrifice depth for accessibility Thou shalt not steal combat damage from the stack Thou shalt tell a story through thy cards All must be one
This can work with Baral, Chief of Compliance. Along with paying 4 mana for Yawgmoth's Vile Offering, you can counter an opponent's creature/planeswalker or use the loot effect to dump one to revive.
Self exile is the worst crap they did and keep doing.
It destroys Johnny dreams before they even get a chance.

Terrible, every time they do that stunt its unnecessary and only makes cards terrible that dont need to be made intentionally worse.
If someone pulls an infinite loop, great, give them a nice handshake and keep going, especially formats like EDH are full of that crap anyway, so this doesnt do anything.
Lorewise, yawgmoth's physical form on the inner sphere of phyrexia was the entire sphere, so everything is yawgmoth, and in this part of the story he was an entire arena and crowd to watch urza duel gerrard, so noah bradley's art clearly takes cues and elements from the inquest version of yawgmoth- the head, ribcage, arms- and unfolds those arms to 'become' the arena. Its really neat.
Technically not the first time we've seen Yawgmawth.
That, sir, ain't Yawgmoth. But I dig the connection you went for.
That is what Yawgmoth looks like. As I mentioned above, his portrait first showed up in InQuest magazine and looks exactly like that... except I never realized he's THAT big.
So most likely at long last we have somewhat what yawgmoth form looked liked before he turned into a cloud
I thought they said inquest picture of him was not his official form I can see they somewhat lied to use and that was indeed his looks before he turned into a purple cloud
And yes I'm aware he knows how to shapeshift since he was hiding in the old phyrexian arena picture
It's a strong card, I just really loathe this self-exile clause WOTC has been enamored with lately. Shuffle it back into the deck instead. I HATE exile.
This should please the many Yawgmoth Vorthos fans. Not my thing, but I am all about old characters showing up. I really think he's getting a card this year too alongside legit Urza and Serra.
I thought they figured out how to avoid the self exile on this type of effect with Seasons Past and Ever After, why are we back to this self-exile on mundane spells again? They know players don't like it, and it's not a problematic effect like extra turns.

With two separate versions of "God" cards, I think so!

Really sweet art.

Isn't that particular art from Mirrodin. Yawgmoth was never on Mirrodin. (Though the flavor text on the original was a reference to him I'm sure)
His portrait first showed up in InQuest magazine, for some reason never showed up again, until now.
