First Eruption is the card of the day on the mothership.
The art on these sagas is just fantastic.

Nice callback to Steel Leaf Paladin on the Champion.

Steel Leaf Champion could put Rhonas back on the map. The First Eruption seems like a decent dinosaur enabler.

The last stage of the saga says "If you do" So i don´t have to?

They better make the art of the first eruption into a poster. I need this on my wall

I think it's a weird trigger... I think if you have a mountain, you HAVE to. But in the event that you have no mountains I think you don't do the effect.

Creedmoor is correct. Basically, if you have a Mountain, you must sacrifice one. If you do sacrifice a Mountain, you get 3 damage to each creature.

If you have no mountains when III 'goes off', absolutely nothing happens.

On another note... what is this exactly referring to? The start of the fall of Sarpadia?

It's the birth of Shiv. Wich, according to legend, was hatched from a shell of stone surrounded by a yolk if flame.

We also get to see some Kavu used as mount there, so that's another box checked.

I may have misunderstood but I don't think the dragons are part of the Shivan Nation. That's not a very dragon-like thing to do. The goblins are viewed as equals by the humans and Viashino.

Edit: nope. Reread it and it does include the dragons. Odd but whatever. A minor detail to get hung up on.

I get that the Ghitu are nomads and need to carry these stories with them, but does anyone else think it's a little impractical for woven tapestries to be the primary form of documentation in a culture/island of fire and brimstone?

The first eruption is gorgeous! Might be a little slow for the effect but ramp + two pyroclasm esque effects is promising.

Steel Leaf champion is strong. Will be good urn two in standard with Llanowar Elves.

that champion is going to be a must-have in brawl.
The eruption seems cool. I'd add this to my casual Pele commander deck.

I love the art on the sagas. It’s the style that I’ve wanted to come back for so long and I’m grateful to see it. But I sure wish it wasn’t all smashed up by the overwhelming text boxes. Would’ve loved to see these appear as full-art level-ups.

That GGG Knight is unreal. 3 mana 5/4 that won’t be chump blocked and has no draw back. Crazy.

I have to say that I adore the visual concept of the sagas being basically artistic pieces.
