Well she is not on Dominaria and seems unlikely for Coreset so she could be next major set, commander set or Battlebond? She is not one of the China Specific. The last time we did Walkers for Commander we did have one brand new walker so that is possible.
But yeah seems Garruk replacement...looks human and summons spirit animals instead of actual animals. Looks Green with Black and/or White.
I wouldn't worry green seems to be steadily growing in power these days.
Then again I don't mind WOTC Diversity push but they really do need to do a better job of making these walkers playable...I mean Kaladesh was fine but I have not been especially impressed with Samut, The Tested, 3 Different Hautlis and Teferi, Hero of Dominaria. They need to be Standard Staples and a few need to be breaking into Modern.
So apparently this is her description in the survey?
Can someone confirm or deny this?
If this is true, my guess (and yes, it's pretty far-reaching) is that she's gonna show up on Ravnica later this year. "Threatened by encroaching civilization" might as well be describing the Gruul, so she would be a perfect fit to go there and fight alongside them.
Also, the story of RIX already confirms that Bolas intends to use his new toys there, so it makes sense that we'll go there next.
I can only hope she is not from a commander product. With so many cool old chracters it would be a fail to introduce her there, let her be a generic green commander for the core set.

Bolas planning for something doesn't necessarily mean that it will happen right away, just remember that he waited for decades to get his Eternal army. Besides, we don't know what other pieces (if any) he needs to finish his plan. There can be any number of other MacGuffins he is after.

Of the currently standard-legal PWs, I love Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh (I actually believe he's Modern-playable) and I find Tezzeret the Schemer to be very good, although unfortunately he's overshadowed by his Agent of Bolas incarnation. And of course, Chandra, Torch of Defiance has the distinction of being the sole good Chandra PW. All others I find to be mediocre-to-bad, and as far as we know about Dominaria, it looks like Karn is going to be awesome, while Teferi is going to be semi-decent at best. So yeah, I do believe some good work has been put into PWs lately, but it's evident that the misses outnumber the hits so far
The problem with Nicol Bolas is all his cards cost so much but yeah it would be nice for the main bad guy of MTG to have a strong playable card. Bolas can cheat his mana cost like Karn and Ugin using sweet Tron Lands. Maybe alternate casting cost? Or try something like the new Karn where he cost 4...luckily for Bolas, Grixis as a color combo tends to do well enough. Elsepth, Sun's Champion could also be useful as a standard for making Bolas, she is the highest cost not cheated mana cost Walker that has had notable success.
Yeah lets hope they don't whiff on the Walker Deck Teferi...granted Teferi did have a high bar. Teferi, Temporal Archamage reigns as the strongest Commander Walker and one of the most broken commanders period. But that is no excuse since Karn, Scion of Urza is weaker then his previous version but still useful. Oh well Teferi is Gatewatch, they have a few chances now although as you said they have struggled with Chandra and Nissa. I might be more disappointed though with the new Teferi because the title suggesting something a bit better than semi decent...I mean Hero of Dominaria sounds hype.

Vivien hails from a tribe of forest dwellers whose homeland was already threatened by encroaching civilization. When her plane itself was destroyed, Vivien managed to escape with the Arkbow, a piece of advanced magical technology capable of "storing" the essence of any creatures Vivien encounters. After seeing the impact of civilization on her home, Vivien now travels the planes, seeking out the essences of new creatures on her mission to ultimately restore balance to the Multiverse.
I’m buying into the idea of her being a Garruk replacement. I thought I remembered them talking about an issue back in the day with Planeswalkers summoning specific creatures. Something about the moral issue of moving a creature across the eternities without its “consent” or something.
With this walker capturing the essence of the creatures to summon later instead of the creature itself they get around that problem.
I dunno, I felt like I read that around the same time that Garruk became a planeswalker hunter instead of a beast summoner and they shifted his focus.
Oh Nice! The Survey Crashed Out before I could finish it.
So from the description it seems she might be a Token Producer, and the "Arkbow" weapon might "Kill Target Creature, and create a token of it on your side of the field"

lol really? Thats part of the appeal of the game, in the old days.
"I'm a Planeswalker, I tag things from various settings, and I summon them when I need them, deal with it, I'm near immortal."
Well characters used to actually summon the creature across the multiverse then they changed it to you summoning a copy so I suppose her design makes it more obvious she is summoning a copy and not the actual thing which can kinda be unclear in art but a solid green creature makes it obvious its a copy not the real thing.

Haha I completely agree - I always thought it was cool. But, if this is the workaround they need to help themselves sleep at night I’m okay with it. She seems neat.
Also, in the survey they ask us to create a walker ( my waifu ) and after that they ask preferences for new walkers ( Good-Evil, Old-New, Male-NoGender-Female, Humanoid-NonHumanoid-Animal ) and in what midia you would like to see those walkers : Shows( TV, Streaming ) , Movies, Novels, Merchandize, etc i couldn't finish the survey cause it crashed ( nooo!!!!!!!!!!!! my waifu )

I thought it was always unclear whether they summon the specific creature or just a "mana copy" of it. Also, when Kiora stole Thassa's bident, it was specifically stated that she summoned various non-native creatures. If they really want to make a big deal out of "consent issue" here, they can just say it has always been the copy and not the creature itself and be clean.

OMG this is the first Ive known of this and its the most laugh inducing ridiculously absurd PC thing I have ever heard of.
So we cant have Garruk summoning Beasts (a very generic term anyway) because he doesnt have their consent. Wow

Been a member here for over a dozen years. Playing since '95 just got lost in the twitch shuffle.
I really hope she's WBG and designed in a unique way. Something like...
1WBG
-1: Exile target creature
-1: Create a token that's a copy of a creature exiled by Vivien, except it's a spirit in addition to its other type.
-X: Draw X cards, lose X life, and distribute X +1/+1 counters among any number of target spirit creatures. Those creatures gain lifelink, vigilance and trample until your next turn.

An ultimate with diminishing returns just appeals to me as a way to balance it.

I thought I remembered a more official WOTC explanation too but I can’t find it right now to back up my claim.
A wild Emrakul appears!
You choose Grizzly Bear.
Wild Emrakul uses Annihilator.
Both you and Grizzly Bear fainted. It's ultra-effective!
I was just picturing that in my head with Vivien's creature-catching adventures across the Multiverse.
Mega pissed. I have done that all morning for fun.

Yep, worked on my cephalid Waifu for a couple of minutes
But the create part is more of character building than create a card.
I guess they deemed any further survey unnecessary after seeing your cephalid waifu.
