Gives me hopes this set looks pretty awesome with lots of gimmicky stuff i like to play with.
Only thing better would be to get some love for slivers , but we clearly cant get everything we like to have (whoever decided no slivers deserves a slap in the face).
Distracting us from the overall badness of Massturds 25. (Dons tinfoil hat.)

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
So many kinds/types of legendary creatures people have been asking for, nothing is going to be left for commander lol

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
A lot of old burn cards are going to need explaining to new players, haha
this set looks incredible just from a design perspective. i dont really get a lot of the references to lore but i guess this what a more "canon" time spiral would look like. very exciting
And they're fantastic.
Lots of good stuff in here. They rebooted the old build-up enchantments from Saga and game them hammers of effects and they're flavourful too.
Nice Legendary Creatures matter subtheme with the equipment and so on. Looks like it's going to be fun!

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
Damping Sphere
2
Artifact
If a land is tapped for two or more mana, it produces C instead of any other type and amount.
Each spell a player casts costs 1 more to cast for each other spell that player has cast this turn.
• If multiple replacement effects would modify what mana an ability you control produces, choose one to apply. After that, determine if any others are applicable. A replacement effect can't apply to the same event more than once this way.
• Damping Sphere's second ability counts spells that were cast during a turn even if Damping Sphere wasn't on the battlefield as they were cast. For example, if Damping Sphere itself is the third spell you cast in a turn, the next spell you cast costs 3 more to cast.
This set is a Vorthos's dream come true. The sheer number of references to Magic's past are insane. There's even some really obscure stuff in here. Jodah finally has a card, there's a new Umezawa, a reference to Kolo Meha. And that's not even mentioning the subset of enchantments that are specifically designed to represent events from the novels and stories of Magic's past. I don't know if I've ever been more excited for a set.

I collect Legendary cards, Planeswalkers, and Sagas.
Current count of different Legends: 1314
Current count of different Planeswalkers: 213
Current count of different Sagas: 44
Hey, I just had a flash. Sagas are the black-border equivalent of Unstable's Contraptions! Not exactly the same, no, but the I-II-III mechanic is very similar.
yeah the mox is absolutely incredible for some edh decks. a commander doesn't need to cost 1 for it to be good, 2 or 3 cost is fine as well. A quite substantial part of me wishes that this mox will finally lead to baral eating his well-deserved banhammer, it's such a cancerous deck.
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
Adeliz, the Cinder Wind

Legendary Creature — Human Wizard
2/2
Flying, haste
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, Wizards you control get +1/+1 until end of turn.
Wizard Tribal will happen, lets goooooooooooooooooo.
This feels more like a wishlist/fantasy set more than a real set... Things are just costed oddly, over or undercosted, and the abilities... eh... And I don't think the whole cycle of Checklands in Standard will ever happen. With the exception of the Guildgates, when is the last time we had a full cycle of 10 duals all doing the same thing in Standard?
Too many red flags reading it.
Innistrad/RTR standard had all 10 check lands (thanks to the Core Set) plus all 10 shock lands. And that was the best standard to me in a long time. There were so many different decks going around thanks to balance in mana.

We have a super-secret project associated with Dominaria that involves a fun new way to play Magic. We had already planned to talk about it, but now we can talk about it using Dominaria cards as an example. So, we'll call that a silver lining.

Yeah, this text, and an every-booster-contains-a-legendary-creature guarantee, tells me that limited commander is about to hit.

When Merfolk Trickster enters the battlefield, tap target creature an opponent controls. It loses all abilities until end of turn.

Later Goyf, and Deaths Shadow...
It doesn’t hurt Death’s Shadow. It only makes it stronger (but tapped). It becomes a vanilla 13/13.
It doesn’t inherently kill Tarmo either - you still have to deal a damage to that 0/1 creature.
