So, now that we've seen both Fall into Oblivion and Vicious Offering, can we get a rebuttal from the "This set, and Magic, and WotC, and everything, completely sucks because there's no low cost removal!" complainants?

The counters still suck..
Just kidding. They really stepped up!

How does it feel to be a WoTC apologist mate?
One good removal spell (and I will grant you, it is good), does not solve the issue of removal. Bear in mind that, even though it is good, they printed precisely because it is not going to deal with a great number of threats in the format, since they're bringing legendary to almost every creature in Dominaria. The card will become a staple in commander and probably see play in some formats like modern, but it is not that good in standard, where most of the complains were directed.
Vicious offering is not a good removal spell. It has potential to see play in some shells, like tragic slip had, but it is not a good piece of removal.

Actual spoiler season has long been scheduled to start April 2. After the leak, they decided to jump ahead on the mechanics and cardframes and Brawl because the spoiler leak left a lot of people with more questions than usual. But the usual "Each outlet gets its own preview card to show off" weeks starts April 2, and anything we get before then is really only happening now because the leak pushed them to have to explain things earlier than they would have, and they're using cards from the set to do so.

I'm firmly in the "I won't waste money on Standard until they print decent removal" camp so I'll go ahead and take this one. Fall into Oblivion is AWESOME! Btw, how are you enjoying your $15 Vraska's Contempt? Nothing better than having a 4 mana Doom Blade be one of the chase money cards in Standard!!!

Both Vicious Offering and Fall Into Oblivion are going to be amazing in Standard. As I note elsewhere, Fall hits 93.85% of all creatures currently in Standard; no, it won't hit the legendary creatures in the new set but no spell is perfect. Meanwhile, Offering is perfect for token strategies--who wouldn't sacrifice a Servo or Vampire token to get rid of Glorybringer or Hazoret? *shrug* If you don't like them then you don't like them--everybody has to be somewhere.
Soooo. Trick Jaret said we would get previews, but instead we got some high ress images of cards we allready had. That was a big let down. At least give us some cards we only have in text form...
Gotta say that landmap playmat is pretty sweet.

Well, found out that the "leak" isn't really a leak. It was done intentionally and the entire thing was planned from the start. This includes the early promo boxes. I believe some of the people I'm patreoning are going to be making videos so I'm interested in which one is going to make it first.
Ugh, there's also OTHER information that has come to light as well as a rumor that has probably just tanked my interest in this game completely. For crying out loud I'm hoping the rumor part of this isn't true or there will be blood in the sand when Challenger decks get released.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
I want to but I'm waiting on the person who told me via patreon to give the details. Also, the reasons he is implying that they did it has some implications if the information gets revealed too early so I'm leaving it to get talked about first. Rudy is one of the people mentioning it.

But Those decks are phenomal list
The rumor is that the print run is the size of a FTV run. I don't think I need to elaborate on just how bad that would be considering Hazoret is already sold out on pre-order in many places.

Read my other stories as well (some ongoing):
Reaper King (a horror story), Kaalia of the Vast (an origin story), Sequels for Innistrad (Alternative sequels for Inn), Grey Areas (Odric's fanfic), Royal Succession (goblins),The Tracker's Message (eldrazi on Innistrad) and Ugin and his Eye (the end of OGW).
Vicious Offering has a place as long as Indestructibles are a thing.
