I completely disagree. There are only so many possible good dual lands out there, and they've been pumping out a lot of new cycles lately. The Innistrad lands aren't obscenely expensive, but they're starting to creep up in price and they're very well balanced. It's a perfect time to reprint them, before the price can get to the ridiculous heights where people will start acting like they're entitled to be at a high value forever.
Sorry to tell you these lands are like 2€ in europe.
That is FAR , VERY VERY FAR, from any "creep up in price" as it possible could be.
So the argument is completely pointless (and given we get Challenger decks, i totally would enjoy them going for stuff like Fetchlands, as that would mean some Challenger decks in standard will contain fetchlands, and that would be a fantastic deal).
----
The existence of Challenger decks really means you want some serious money reprints in standard , so you get them in these decks.
After the price of the mana bases in the KTK/BFZ standard I don't think we'll see fetches with duals in std again in the foresawble future.- So with the cycling duals I think fetches are out until AKH rotate out.
Unless we're going to the moon, "spacecraft" could be "skyship"
Wizards has released the correctly-translated version. That's "Tiana, Ship's Caretaker". Presumably caretaker of the Weatherlight, since we also have "Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain".
Keep in mind I wrote that under the influence of a great dose of cough medicine. Bronchitis. If I hadn't been under such a dosage, I'd wake up after about an hour, hacking away. (My boss ordering me to go to the doctor and take a week off.)
I hadn't taken the time to actually read the page.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!

Well, the first product that will have the new card frame is the face Ezuri in the Elves vs Inventors duel deck. They will be spoiling it in the final showcase of that, not in DOM preview weeks.
The enemy check lands from Innistrad may be cheap, but that doesn't mean they are easy to find. They are the best budget land in modern for players without the cash to spring for fetches so the fact they are getting another print run is good news for everyone. Also, I think the European market is far less volatile than the US market because our market is composed of crazy people who do buyouts of old cards every other week.

This thread is pretty long so I am not sure this is has been mentioned yet so far, but I found this interesting rule change in the Release Notes for the card Baird, Steward of Argive:
In a Two-Headed Giant game, creatures can attack your teammate and planeswalkers your teammate controls without requiring a mana payment. This is a change from previous rules.
The change is that, currently, if there is a tax to attack you, that tax extends to the entire team. However, if there is a tax to attack your planeswalker, your teammate's planeswalkers can be attacked without penalty. Now it looks like individual heads are attacked directly so any taxes or restrictions only apply to that head. This potentially makes cards like Ghostly Prison and Blazing Archon much worse. I assume this makes cards like Hixus, Prison Warden better as there is no longer a chance to choose who you deal combat damage to; it will be the head that was attacked (that is my assumption anyway).
First, Firesong and Sunspeaker. The FAQ notes that it's the Buy-A-Box-Promo... How does that work, exactly? Is buying a box the only way to get it? Or is it a regular part of the set as well witht he BABP being special art/foil/whatever?
It's both red and white so gets bot benefits, it gets lifelink from FaS' first ability as well as specifically gaining you life, triggering FaS' second ability twice? for 3+3+3 damage and 3+3 life?

I'm pretty sure it would based on: 603.2c An ability triggers only once each time its trigger event occurs. However, it can trigger repeatedly if one event contains multiple occurrences.
Some think mox amber is the second coming of the original moxen, some think it's utter garbage. There are a lot of legendaries in this set so I'm inclined to think they playtested it heavily and thought it fair enough to print or well worth putting in to sell packs.

I don't need or want the originals, and I don't even see the potential to be a shadow of them. What I see is a tool for Blue or White, get a low CMC legend out, then ramp into something cool just one turn faster, something a lot of decks in those colors need

If there is one thing 25 years of Magic has shown us it's that there is no hoop too big to jump through for free mana. Mox Amber will be playable in something at some point.
I know it's waaaaay early, but are there any sites posting preorder prices yet? I'd like to start seeing that numeric psudo rating popping up since we have so much right now.

Yep. And its a reason why Leyline of Singularity is spiking to the moon right now. Although I brought it up a while back and got tut-tutted for merely pointing it out. Whether that combo has any chops is yet to be seen. "Free" mana will always have a draw, its just how many drawbacks must be used to access it.

There's no point in people getting worked up over a spike on an obscure card that only a few people were even aware of until today. I feel more slighted that my Isamaru, Hound of Konda hasn't seen a reprint since kamigawa and the puppy just got bought out everywhere. I think Kamigawa is going to get hit hard due to it being the other legends set and the fact Wizards has done very few reprints from that place in time relative to the sheer number of cards still roaming around. Also kind of surprised people haven't bought Kytheon, Hero of Akros yet. Maybe the one extra toughness is more relevant or someone is just trying to spike prices on the older kamigawa cards. Not sure which.

Again, realistically, how many Legendary artifacts and enchantments are there? Their number is far out shadowed by creatures and to a lesser extent planeswalkers.
Mox Amber will have uses. Not at the level of Mox Opal for sure, but it will be put to use.

In Standard, turn 1 Oviya, Mox Amber, then either another creature like Narnam Renegade or, ideally, Enter the Unknown to let her explore. If she finds a land (or you have one in your hand) then play it to set yourself up for having 4 mana on turn 2--who wouldn't want 4 mana on turn 2?--or let her enjoy the +1/+1 counter. Worst-case scenario: you have nothing else you can do on your turn but you can pass and this still lets you cast Blossoming Defense to protect her--any removal spell your opponent casts will be wasted, meaning they wasted their entire turn.

Pretty much 99% of these cards will tank when the rarities and set drops in.

yeah it's jsut not as good in standard as it would've been if it was "legendary permanent"
On turn 2, Baral with Mox Amber and pass the turn, which means you have left up mana for Essence Scatter or Negate. Alternatively, Hapatra with Mox Amber and you still have mana for Fatal Push, Blossoming Defense, or another creature. Also alternatively, Temmet and Mox Amber, so you have mana left for Dive Down, Sheltering Light, Unsummon, or another creature. Finally, Kari Zev and Mox Amber to leave up mana for another creature or a removal spell like Shock or Reckless Rage.
There will be plenty of ways to use and abuse Mox Amber in Standard.
In Modern I am much less certain. Kytheon and Mox Amber then another creature or leave up mana for Path to Exile, maybe? Otherwise, Zurgo and another creature or Lightning Bolt, I guess.
Its just very inconsistent mana, as the opponent can kill your legendary creature and you are stranded without making mana.
So its a real drawback and just increases the decks high and increases its brick level.
