Pretty hyped out about this set. Karn looks great for Affinity in the increasingly grindy meta, the 2 CMC sideboard artifact is pretty brutal, and reprints of Siege-Gang Commander, Goblin Warchief, Llanowar Elves and pseudo Bolt and Counterspell make me excited even for Standard, which I haven't touched in years. Here's hoping this is a rule and not the exception, because this set is shaping up to be the best since Khans
I am really curious, if the appearance of the Llanowar Elves in the Chapter "New Terms: Various Nonfunctional Changes" really is a commitment, that they will be in the set.
This is strange, because they told us, that Mana Ramp Creatures for 1 are too powerful.
Does someone has a count for how many cards are on the FAQ? Are there still any missing?
There are 132 cards in the section on specific card rulings. There are another 11 cards named in the set content summary above, of which we know the text and cost of 10 (and 6 of those 10 are reprints - the checkland cycle and Llanowar Elves)
So we know 142 cards by name and cost and text, another one by name alone (and of course there will be basic lands). A whole lot are still ‘missing’, because they’re trivial enough not to cause any specific card clarifications to be made in advance.
My post above (#205) has the cards we know in color order then alphabetical in each color (didn’t rearrange things that start with ‘The’ though).
No Patriarch's Bidding is sad. I want to play goblins in modern.
Honestly, the set is meh to me. If you're a big commander player or fan of the worldbuilding, I'm sure you're going to enjoy it. From a competitive standpoint, particularly in eternal formats...meh.
127 cards are still in the shadows and this may not be all the rares/mythics revealed in this info board (but good chance it is)
I am near certain there are still some unspoiled rares and mythics. There is likely a Simic Legendary creature, a BBB creature in a cycle that seems too good to be uncommon, and I've seen it stated that there should be a character named Jossu that is so-far absent.

Also, one of the cards is probably a intro deck planeswalker (chandra)
there is 130 other cards, It can be a legendary artifact somewhere those.
No Vehicles in the Fac is a no for it as a vehicle.
In the Ixalan release notes vehicles where mentioned as a returning mechanic. The Dominaria release notes lack such info. Still hoping for a Weatherlight, would be a great opportunity!
What I'm actually thrilled about is that they made a allsosaurus in dominaria and yes dominaria is known for allosaurus's according to the mtg wiki on dinosaur creature type.
I wonder if dinosaur creature cards printed outside ixalan will have feathers or not
So thrilled this %100 confirms dinosaurs as deciduous creature type.

At some point they start to consider the mechanic something that is expected to appear regularly enough that it doesn't get explicit mention anymore. Have Vehicles become as 'normal' as Equipment now that they don't need explicit reference as a set mechanic anymore?
Wizards has a big problem on their hands if they keep experiencing leaks like this especially before "big name", or anticipated, sets. I bet there'll be even tighter controls moving forward with regards to content and intellectual property management.
Either way, it looks like WOTC (read: Hasbro) learned their lesson (with regards to set design). Wow, I'm impressed and this is only like around half of the set. I think we can probably expect greater deck diversity in Standard given what has been revealled so far.
Teferi's joining the Gatewatch I guess. Does that mean Jace goes solo or has a special episode of Bachelor In Paradise with Vraska?

They have been upgraded to deciduous which means they can be used in any set but shouldn't be excepted all the time (see Hybrid mana, DFC, curses, colored artifacts and protection).
EDIT: Hate to say Dominaria has done the legendary theme better than Kamigawa, giving us less of a reason to revisit the plane.

Jossu Vess is Lilianas older brother who she accidentally turned into an undead which led to her spark igniting. There's no confirmation that he'll show up in the set. Just speculation that he will aince he didn't seem like somw normal zombie and being undead could very well still be around.
I find it fitting that my favorite set to be released since I have started playing (in terms of theme) is spoiled in a way similar to another favorite of mine (New Phyrexia) and in a way so crushing to the deserving Wizards after their previous failures.

I think it's exciting we're getting cards for characters that have long been a part of (flavour text) lore without getting actual cards during that time. Jodah? About bloody time!

Maro has said the members of the gatewatch aren't going to be limited by color or number of members. We can have multiple gatewatch walkers with the same colors at the same time.

Yes its in the set Forsythe confirmed it already.
Just because the flawed Dev team previously stated 1cmc dorks are too strong, doesnt make it true. After all, thats the flawed Dev team that gave us how many bad standards in a row?
Don't forget, when alphabetizing, any initial "The"'s are ignored.
Yeah, I just did a hasty sort in Google Sheets knowing that would put a few of those cards in the T's, and I actually wasn't entirely sure WotC's numbering historically ignores "The", but I just checked and The Chain Veil is indeed sorted as though it began with a C.

MARO Has all but confirmed that WotC would most likely just make a new Japanese-themed plane rather than go back to Kamigawa.

And a really have hopes M19 delivers simular strengths as dominaria return does and should be too.
I mean they are finally letting it go of no more 1 cmc creatures that are busted.

Keep in mind, Carnage Tyrant wasn't in the Ixalan FAQ. Nor Emperor's Vanguard, nor Fell Flagship... not that those last two are great cards, but they are, technically, rares.

Pretty cool they figured out a way to resurrect protection from a color "hexproof from (color)"
I would pay money to watch that.
