This will be the first Magic set I've ever boycotted. I was pretty sure I was going to after they unbanned Jace with the clear intention of pushing this weak-*** set, but after being slapped in the face repeatedly by Wizards' **** with these horrible rares amd Mythics, I'll lose all self-respect by buying any sealed product from this set.
Why are you complaining ?
1) It's a win condition
2) It's fun to draft
3) It only costs 1 more than Liliana of the Veil (which by the way, is far less played and doesn't need a reprint)
1 - No, no it really isn't, getting an opponent to specifically 13 life is far more difficult than getting them to zero, especially if you have this on the field.
2 - Fun is Subjective, I hate drafting masters sets because they are by in large..generic as hell in terms of mechanics.
3 - As someone who somewhat thinks that Liliana of the Veil is an way overrated card, Liliana is -way- more played than this.

I was just being ironical: putting Triskaidekaphobia in a 10$ pack-set instead of playable cards, even for draft purposes, is a insult to every member of their fan base. It just proves that their developping team, obsessed with draft and limited, is completely disconected from consumers' excpectations.
The thing is that Triskaidekaphobia isn't even that good in limited so this card is pure insult.
For what little it's worth, it's probably better in this limited than in its original environment. This environment has Bolts and Kindles and who knows what else - better direct damage for life-total-setting in the first three turns of the game than SoI draft had. And seemingly less lifegain (again, pending full spoil), so your opponents don't seem as likely to be able to keep themselves off 13 as they were in SoI.
It's still bad. I'll be pissed if I wind up cracking it in draft, and I sure wouldn't prioritize taking it. But there are draft decks where I would play it.

Pay no attention to the corporate hand shoved up his *** causing his mouth to move like a ventriloquist dummy.
Exactly my thought. While everyone is complaining about individual cards, it's the loss of actual combos I'm disappointed about.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
