This has me worried. Since Watchwolf is from Ravnica, it may become unlikely that we will see Doubling Season.
Did you expect at uncommon? I don't see how this has any bearing on it. But you may be right. Doesn't look to me like there's much of a token theme to the set so it wouldn't do much in limited (and we both know how much wizards likes to make sets for limited).
What I've been waiting for is the 'draft signpost uncommons' to be shown. Now we've finally seen the first... and it tells us absolutely nothing. It's an efficient vanilla creature.

I meant the watermark, as it represents the Ravnica set, it could take away that Doubling Season may likely not be in the set too, and it was from the same set as Watchwolf
The new Spikeshot Goblin actually has spikes, and painful looking ones too, but I'm not sure if they're more painful for everyone within a three mile radius or the goblin. The art is hilarious!

Hilariously bad, you mean. It (and the Exclude one, too) look like some half-finished sketch, I expect more from Magic illustration, honestly.

Maybe it's not the draft signpost uncommon after all. As a Masters set there could just be multiple uncommon multicolored cycles.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

There could be more than one card from each set. In fact, Frenzied Goblin appeared before this with the same watermark.

No, there can't. There isn't enough space in the set for more than 1 cycle of multicolor uncommons.

Good to know. Though - as you also correctly pointed out - unfortunate. Have previous Masters-series sets have had telling signpost uncommons? It really feels this card was chosen just for being iconic (which it certainly is). Maybe they really ignored the signpost uncommons in favor of just allowing this set to be more free-form. That is a thing that players have asked for... and reprint sets are more prone to realize, I suppose.
