Are the "We want value" people happy yet. Jace, Recruiter, Chalice, Bridge, Port, Clique..... This set is shaping up pretty boss to me.
Jace, Recruiter, Chalice, Bridge and Clique are all at mythic which will do very little to lower their prices. Port, however, is at rare, so that should lower the cost a significant amount.
So, no, we aren't really happy yet. This is a good start though.
Reprinted and at rare as well! This is wasteland all over again. Will this be another card to drop from $100 down to $25-$30? Seems likely given there's even less decks using port compared to wasteland
Yeah this will drop in price a lot. I'm hoping for something that sees more play in modern like cliffs or collonade. This is still a big breath of fresh air.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Man I really hope Cavern of Souls gets a reprint. It's one of the most played cards in Modern and Legacy and I can't afford the damn thing.
This set is SO scattershot (the nature of bringing together 25 years of sets), I can hardly imagine them putting a 'creature type matters' card in a set where there's little latitude to have tribal draft strategies. I wouldn't count on things like Cavern of Souls, Coat of Arms, Urza's Incubator and the like appearing here.
This is probably the first card so far that I'm actually happy to see. I don't have quite the full set so seeing this and at rare, instead of at awful mythic, means I might actually pull one from a box and complete a playset.
And yes, I don't care if the price crashes on this.

Eh mythics don't tend to matter all that much when it comes to balancing around draft synergies. I wouldn't count it out, but another mythic printing won't do much to help the price anyway so whooooooo caaaaaaaares
Good inclusion at rare. This is way better value wise, keep them coming.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Granted at rare, this will probably halve the price. But this is a legacy staple we are talking about. People like to get playsets of such type of staples.
I think at best this will push the price down to the $40-$60 range. I'm so glad they reprinted it at rare and honestly I could care less about the price drop. The magic community has been clamoring for a reprint of this land for the last couple years.
So far this set looks akin to MM17, def worth picking up a case if you are looking to invest or just increase your legacy pool of cards.
on the one hand, it really needed a reprint. On the other, it's ****ing miserable to play against, and I'm not thrilled that there will be more of them out there to face down.
What I don't get is who will play with these when legacy dies. Maybe commander?

Surely this will follow a similar price drop to wasteland. I expect MM25 to have a larger run than eternal masters as well. Also there's going to be a lot more boxes cracked than stored given the immediate value available.
