Amazing. This has needed a reprint forever and a day! Good to see it back with good art as well!

The "Crazy One", playing casual magic and occasionally dipping his toes into regular play since 1994.
Currently focusing on Pre-Modern (Mono-Black Discard Control) and Modern (Azorious Control, Temur Rhinos).
Find me at the Wizard's Tower in Ottawa every second Saturday afternoons.
I think people's distaste for this being at Mythic rather than rare is that it's pretty obvious it was driven solely by the price of the card, not the impact on limited.
I don't know if Wizards has recently changed their tune, but last I checked they haven't openly admitted that they bump cards up to Mythic solely to maintain a high secondary market value.
Finally. Shame they didn't reprint it before they obliterated Imperial Painter
Be advised, this will tank HARD. Its current price of $200 is driven by lack of supply, i.e. there are few of them out there. So don't go thinking that M25 contains $200 bills, this is similar to Mana Drain.
But a sweet and much needed reprint for sure.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Okay, let's reprint the card with the price tag from scarcity at mythic. Okay then...

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Yeah, I totally get why this is Mythic, but I wish Wizards were at least honest about it. It's not the first time they're obviously breaking the promise they made about Mythics when they introduced them.
Is this Mythic because it would otherwise break limited? No. Recruiter of the Guard was just recently printed at rare in a set designed for drafting.
Is it Mythic because a random dude who conscripts 2-power creatures into the army feels as epic and legendary as Akroma? Certainly not.
That pretty much only leaves the external factor: It's Mythic because it's expensive and Wizards doesn't want the average player to have too good a chance of getting it. Which, you know, is perfectly fine from a business perspective, but at least go on and admit it. Everybody knows anyway. Just like they know the increased price of Masters sets is driven solely by the secondary market, considering these sets probably don't even cost half as much to make as regular ones.
Alright, now we're talking! I'm excited about this one and hope to pick up a copy for EDH, assuming it drops enough. I paid too much for a Mana Drain, so I'll probably wait longer here.

This.
It's paradoxical: on the one hand, people are complaining about prohibitively high card prices. On the other hand, if something like Akroma, Angel of Fury is spoiled, everybody goes "oh man that's a crap mythic, I don't want to open this in a 10 dollar pack". But isn't it much better to have the worthless cards at Mythic so there is on average a smaller chance of not getting your money's worth? But I suppose people just like to gamble, and want to feel like they've won something when opening a Mythic rare.

I think I am going to be the first person to express disappointment in this one for a reason other than the inevitable rarity bump.
I was genuinely hoping Imperial Seal would be the P3K mythic. Hopefully, they'll reprint Three Visits at least.
I am going to make a nearly baseless claim and state that this version will be about $40 bucks in about 4 months.
After some Googling I am estimating that P3k had about 40000-50000 of each uncommon printed. In order to double this supply they will need to print 200,000+ booster boxes. That doesn't sound too unreasonable.

Hah, compared to an over $300 (canadian I just looked) card? No, its not good enough.
