Chalice of the Void...finally. That has needed a reprint so, so badly for a long time. Maybe will be able to get them for less than $80 a piece now.

I love Pillage but they dropped the ball with the art and flavor text here. Do they not have rights to the old Richard Kane Ferguson art, or does the art director have objectively bad taste? See Arcane Denial (shudder) for another example of this dynamic.
i know its way early to call it, but it already feels like jace is whats going to sell the set.
akroma at mythic is a waste, no one wants to open that in a $10 pack.
chalice is a great reprint that was long over due... but at mythic its not going to do much for the secondary market
the horde and pillage reprints are nice... but they're not rare so really it doesn't matter
and oh look, niv-mizzet again...
I'm not sure what is going to happen with chalice. That definitely had to be a last minute swap because people were saying it wasn't in the set. Mythic are basically non factors for draft so I guess it makes sense. Why Akroma, though? Ugh, I don't like it when they do this for draft.

Not excited for the mythics revealed today as Akroma is not wanted and can be a rare, and Chalice being a mythic does little to help players acquire them. This is yet another example of draft having too much pull in how sets are designed and rarities distributed.
Chalice is as mythic as cavern of souls *insert one of my generic disappointments with rarity shift in here*
gisela is okay at best, red akroma at mythic is an extremely questionable choice. even moreso when considering that they didn't go for nostalgia using the planar chaos art. Niv Mizzet feels lackluster as well. What's next, the 100th reprint of simic sky swallower in this one?
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
Why people complain about channel or akroma as mythic? Is way better to see those cards as mythic than rare, would be perfect to see only financially crappy cards (draft bombs) in the mythic slots and Jaces and Chalices at rares. Sure, the second part will not happen.
Oh joy, another freaking Niv-mizzet for me to open in a $10 pack, then get as my foil rare.
As much as I have come to hate that card after the last time, I am happy with the Mythics. Chalice should probably have been rare, but it's getting a reprint at all, and 'for draft purposes' actually does make sense for that one.
Akroma and Gisela at mythic actually make me happy. Big splashy bomb cards, legendary, that is what mythic was supposed to be for, not the money cards. I look at it like this, we KNOW this set is going to have great value, Wizards knew that screwing this up would do a number on them, they probably aimed TOO high. So every worthless mythic means there has to be a money card at a lower rarity. And Gisela IS a $9 card, it's not like Channel, I will have ZERO trouble finding an EDH player at my LGS who would love to see it in my binder.

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
Just checked and that Pillage flavor text is brand new.
I hope whoever write it gets a promotion because that's it's a cut above what almost all recent flavor text has been and really looks like it could have been another piece of really old, impactful flavor text all along.

It's still worse than the original flavor text. It's basically a remix of that.

You and me both. Although it may look better in person. On the screen, it just looks like someone randomly squiggled over the planeswalker icon.
