A five drop, that goes up to 5 while gaining you some life. Or can make a strong blocker. With an ultimate that can just win the game, if you have a good board state. Seems certainly interesting.
Okay, for a second I thought it was a 4 cmc walker. Good abilities, but man that 3 loyalty to start AND 5 cmc. Seriously ouch.

I love the fact that she makes green dino tokens even though she's boros.
I love that we have a R/W walker who isn't just an angry version of a white walker.
I love that her "ultimate" isn't really an ultimate but is instead a really cool utility effect.
I hate that her 0 ability isn't a +1 ability instead and I hate that the only way for you to plus her is to gain life, which usually isn't very relevant, and even then her ability to gain you life is based on whether or not you have a board state. So it really feels like it's going to be "+2: Do nothing." most of the time which is not something I enjoy when it's attached to a 5 cmc card.

It seems prett mediocre. The 0 ability is good but the starting loyalty and plus ability are bad. The ultimate is interesting and gives it some utility so its not unplayable. I would never play this over something like obnixilis or gidion ally of zendikar, but if I'm already in the colors and need a walker to grind out games I might consider it. I actually prefer the intro one just because it's more flavorful.

I like that she can build an army until your ready to make a big attack and that she can always just be a Wrap in Flames if you just need to close out a game. I guess her +2 is for racing aggressive decks?
"Warrior Poet" is a badass title to have, for the record.
I don't know, every time I try to come up with the right line of play with her the math just makes it so you almost always are needing to +2 her on the turn you drop her. She definitely slots into my standard deck as a sideboard card, but she does have a lot of competition in not just the mythics, but the rares as well. We got Bishop of Rebirth, Crested Sunmare, Glorybringer, etc, that all do more specific tasks better than her and have technically more starting "toughness".

This Huatli might be playable in Modern in those RW "Sun and Moon" decks. Admittedly, Gideon Jura's ability to guarantee saving your butt for at least a turn is stiff competition at the 5 cmc slot, but still, a 3/3 every turn and the ability to take some pressure off Nahiri, the Harbinger...
She has to be at three loyalty. Being able to stop 4-5 creatures from blocking the turn she comes down is too strong. Also consider in the dinosaur deck if you're dropping her late it's 5+ points of life gain which is not terrible
*sigh* People complain that a Planeswalker that poops out 3/3 trampling dinosaurs should be 4 CMC already forgot about how oppressive Gideon, Ally of Zendikar was to the metagame.
Kudos Play Design. You're already paying your salary in spades, IMHO.

While I agree that Hautli is costed just fine (and should see plenty of play even at 5cmc), I don't think Play Design had any hand in that. I don't think they existed at the time.

My feeling is that they made her abilities strong and her defense a bit too weak. Sort of taking the concept of Red and White "Glass Cannon" to a planeswalker. She is still crazy good and if someone opens her on pre-release I think they probably won pre-release. I want her just because she feels a bit like if Thundermaw Hellkite and Elspeth, Sun's Champion had a baby. A beautiful dinosaur loving mesoamerican baby that gives life to mid-range decks.

I'm definitely not advocating that she be 4 cmc as she is but what I am saying is that she's got some flaws in her abilities that hurt her playability. It's mostly the fact the the only way to plus her basically doesn't do anything most of the time.
Come to think of it, her plus ability has the same problems as Samut, the Tested's plus ability but it's usually worse. They both rely on you having other creatures to do anything at all but Samut's at least gives your creature a relevant combat keyword. Hautli's does what is historically one of the least relevant things to do in magic unless you have really good synergy for it. And that ability not only requires a creature, it requires a big one to gain you a decently large amount of life.
Look at it this way, Angel's Mercy is not a good card. When this walker comes into play, if you want to plus her, you're going to be paying 5 in two colors for a sorcery speed angel's mercy at best. And that's if you have a big expense creature on board before you cast her. I like her other two abilities but that plus could have seriously just been a scry and I would have been more positive about it. If the dino ability were a +1 ability this wouldn't even be an issue.
Oh yeah, with both of them on the field no one is going to be able to outrun that life gain in commander.

I like it, but someone done goofed in making this r/w and not r/g. None of these abilities are white.
White traditionally cares about creature volume not power, thats green, and definitely not red.
The token is too big, with trample, and an equally fat ass, to also be anything but green.
The ultimate is as red as red gets.
